  1. College sports have always been minor league system, in year 2022, the choice has been made clear they are being compensated with more than just Room and Board and Degrees. Now, I will wholeheartedly agree the roll out of the ERA of NIL has been very short sighted by the NCAA and they had plenty of years to get ready for this, which SHOULD of been DAY 1 of the Ed O'Bannon lawsuit when filed, but perhaps the hubris of the NCAA probably thought they would not lose that case in court and then here we are, Wild Wild West as they say.
  2. from what I can gather, seems to be down to this: Beamer is their current target, turns it down, they pivot to Walters at Illinois, or Helton at WKU South Carolina has Board meeting tomorrow, to supposedly give Beamer a raise but will it be enough to keep Purdue at Bay? Beamer did just hire his OC, so he may have told Boilers no thanks, and will take the raise and stay where he best known area he familiar with.
  3. @BTF Now, apply that same logic for ya know, Position and Head Coaches who these players decide to entrust them who were supposedly committed to them, where is that penalty? This lid was blown off long ago, adapt or die NCAA, some would argue NCAA been dead for decades
  4. So he is not the "chosen one". or did you retire that one @Bobref after ya know, Chosen One is no longer??
  5. Did he ever get on scholarship? https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4693615/charlie-spegal
  6. Starting to see some smoke from UGA on Monken, lots of articles being bantered about on Purdue high interest
  7. That is who Morgan Burke would of hired Bobinski is an actual legit big prize AD imo. His presser yesterday seemed like he was ready to pounce soon. A name that maybe intriguing, DeBoar, then bring Shep back with ya, but would he leave West Coast after being in Washington only 1 year? Funny one that I heard was a combo of Sean Payton and Drew Brees....... I like to partake, however, someone been sipping that sauce too much
  8. I do not understand the fascination with Jim Leonard. HARD PASS Has Brian Hartline, again, who is calling plays at OSU? HARD PASS Monken, I could see, but nah I have narrowed my list to 2 guys: Tulane's Head Coach Willie Fritz Western Kentucky Head Coach Ty Helton I would also love to see Brian Brohm spur his brother and family and stay at Purdue, but not going to happen, also key is keeping Hagen, which I believe will happen. Purdue continues to be the premier opening currently and will have a fine list of candidates, Bobinski basically said yesterday that he will be focussing on hiring a guy with actual head coach experience
  9. Sorry, don't have myself signed into my cell phone but yes, I was, and then slept for 4 hours and went to Bears Packers game. just made too much sense, though, Louisville HAS to be excited to see Cincy ridding themselves of Satterfield Trust me, I hope he does too, great guy, literally so geniunine, I've had opportunities to sit down , have a nice cold one and just talk ball with him like he was a regular fella at the bar. Hate to see him go as well, but how does he tell his family NO a 2nd time when he has done EVERYTHING he has said he would do at Purdue, MINUS winning the B10 title.
  10. The 2022 Position Award winners link is not live, IFCA has been notified **** POSITION AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED ON MONDAY ******
  11. I lied: TODAY https://ifca.net/all-state-teams/ REMEMBER: IF YOU MAKE TOP 50, YOU DO NOT MAKE YOUR INDIVIDUAL CLASS TEAM

  16. I think we all know there is only 1 job in America that he will not say no a 2nd time to.
  17. yes, they will be announce in the following week to come, I would look for it on Monday or Tuesday
  18. Yes, Hansen can win "Mr. Football RB position award". and Bowen can win it at "Linebacker" but at the end of the day, Indy Star sponsor only 1 Mr. Football, perhaps, Hansen and Bowen will be one of the 3 finalist when it's all said and done. Being named top player at your position is quite an accomplishment in itself, just saying When nominated by their coach, they have to nominate at a primary position: My guess would be coach from each school of the 2 players mentioning here are being nominated to RB for Hansen, LB for Bowen, then they add all sorts of the other stats, for instance, Bowen also was Andrean's Punter and was on special teams as well
  19. No problem, I am here to promote and explain when needed in certain aspects of things. Cheers
  20. Could be the last ride for Brohm and company in W. LA, If so, thanks Coach and hope they keep the momentum going looking forward to Saturday
  21. Depends who Purdue hires to replace Brohm next year
  22. Process: Be a football coach and JOIN IFCA IFCA will host a ALL STATE meeting, at that meeting, the Rating board for each sectional and any at large coaches will be in the room and go through all the ALL STATE teams. Top 50 team gets selected, amongst the top 50 will be votes by position groupings: QB, RB, WR, et. al. A player then must WIN their individual position award, last year for instance, QB, Brady Allen was the position award winner. So Allen, then all other 9 position award winners (10 in all). from there, there will be a vote to whittle it down to top 3, last year it was Caden Curry, DL Center Grove, RB, Micah Houser, and QB Brady Allen, with Allen winning the final vote the 3 finalist. Year before was Steele, Fisher, and QB McCulley. For reference, see below: Indy Star is the sponsor of the award https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2020/12/07/indiana-high-school-football-2020-mr-football-position-award-winners-blake-fisher-carson-steele/6477814002/
