Thanks for those who have and those in the future and appreciate your words!! Though I am not as active as previous 12 years (oh I am OLD) appreciate everyone who is involved both in the day to day, behind the scenes and to our MEMBERS of this wonderful place to enjoy this great game of High School football. -

THIS!!! one of the more under rated aspects of games, if you have a dude who can always stick it end zone it makes a HUGE difference. Good Luck to both Football communities. Electric -
Purdue best defensive player hasn't played since Penn St. Their starting RT career ending Back Injury, their starting Running Back hasn't played in 2 weeks either. Their QB has broken ribs and played last week on the road in the B10 after sitting last week. Agree on Boat Rower schedule being very blah thus far. Purdue's 2 losses to Penn St. and Undefeated #22 Cuse, ( though their reality check is coming soon is my guess) and both within last minutes. I look at the products on the field, just seems like Boilers have tangible and sustainable progress and are not on a roller coaster ride. forgot to mention their QB didn't play which vastly changed their game plan, however, no doubt they did not play their best football but WON the game. Sign of stable program.

so frustrating the lack of Discipline (that is on CJB) cost the Boilers to be sitting 5-0 and probably inside the top 15 right now. Big 10 West up for grabs after a HUGE win on the road vs the boat rower!!

But are you guys' LEO'ing still ? The Rah Rah is just noise, need substance, I have put the 2 losses of my team squarely on my head coach I support in W.L.A, 2 meltdowns away from sitting real real pretty, but I shall remember many folks who told me around these parts that the trend was IU and PU spiral downward, I think substance and performance matters, PU offense has kept on clicking post Rondale Moore, David Bell and loss of a big time Assistant in Shepard who is OC at Washington, while their defense, 4th year for many guys who have been playing a long time are ranked 25th nationally, with new DC. Just put your head down and WORK, that is the Jeff Brohm way.

2022 3A outlook
Coach Nowlin replied to DumfriesYMCA's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Perhaps Tippy Valley can give Chatard or Guerin a run at it this year since they are shipped all the way down to WL old sectional which the Catholic/Jesuit trio of Chatard, Brebuef and Guerin have been the cause for no sectionals for RDP since 2018, as they cruise back up north to the 219 for post season play they should find comfort of no Andrean or other catholic powerhouse in that sectional. Hanover Central off to another great start, very good players they have under Coach Parker also should be thought of highly in Sectional 25. beat me to it -
New Schools/Programs

Faith Christian has a very good Golf program already, just wanted to add that. -
Same starting QB who was not playing against CP who Andrean lost 28-18 Same Starting QB who was not playing against 8a Crete Monee for which 59ers beat by a few points. Multiple D1 kids on Andrean Roster, playing in 2a, with that size, speed and talent, continues to make them the favorites in the North
-
good thing kids heal 😜
-
I have and Yes I do. What has Andrean lost (they were soph/Jr loaded last year, with some good SR) and LaVille gained in 365 days that make up this gap? Nov. 12 LaVille W 35 8 regn
-
@Tippy you have seem to have watched a lot of LaVille this year on tape/tv/etc. Did you do your homework on the video clip I attached of the Andrean CP game? The Andrean Merriillville game week 1? Or just looking at scores? Not sure why you invoked Rensselaer, we are 3a team, so I am focused on 3a opponents in sectional so LaVille is of no radar of this guy.

https://www.regionsports.com/2022/08/26/watch-crown-point-at-andrean-football/. video of this year's game

What would the score be if LaVille played Crown Point? or Merrillville? Or Crete-Monee?
-
Why dismiss Andrean?

Hey Rudy! Look what I found!

Go Bombers!! We are in our 125th year of football and 11th in most wins in state. Good find on old scores, really awesome to see some old stuff. We had a gentleman bring out a freshman kid this year who wanted to play and just got into town ( few days after school started). He was the Punter on his undefeated RCHS 1954 squad. He then went on to talk about striking the ball with your foot with the air hole on outside for the spiral you looking for, got it from someone at the Bears Training camp ( Camped in Rensselaer from 1944 to 1974) -
West Lafayette and the rest of the conference
Coach Nowlin replied to Tippy's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Correct, Rensselaer had a influx of transient students who were brought in by their migrant working families for the fall, SEPT count came, 521, by Christmas time we were back at 502. Just one of those things. So it goes, but like the 2 year opportunity in 3a, however in 2 year cycle, we will closer to 1a then 3a Also, give credit to Coach Fry and his staff on their weight room and speed developments that their school has bought into as a culture. That's where it starts. -

Hoosier Conference
Coach Nowlin replied to Coach P's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Hey Friends and maybe a couple of Foes out there (ducks away from some Eastbrook heaters) Long long time, but had a moment before I rest my head for the evening, these days of Elementary PE and then time with Bombers after school certainly does take its Tolle (still got it) on this 20 yr veteran of the Bombers staff!! yes, 20th year, MERCY, can I officially be one of the "old" guys in the game now?? If you count my film engineering when Coach Meeks took over in 1999, this will be my 24th year, also in his 24th year (181-95), our DC's 24th year at RCHS (but a few more other places right out of school as well before back in R) Coach Stevens, hell, he one of my coaches when I played 95-97 for the Bombers. While I am at it, Bombers welcoming Coach Wes Radtke to staff, our Girls Bball coach, former NS All Star from our friends in Starke Co, NJSP, along with Austin Metgzer, who was an All State 2 way player for West Central in the mid 2000's, I want to say under Brad Urban years, he had been with our Middle School staff past few years and now up with high school crew. Returning also is Doug Hannon, who was our OL line coach back in early 2010's, and our OL coach in 2014 state run. Bombers are playing in our 125th season this year, we are excited as always, as Coach Meeks has said in a couple of media spots already, we will be young but experienced, playing a 4-5 freshman last year who are now obviously Sophomores. Jordan Cree, who was named small school defensive player of the year for the Journal Courier returns for his SR year and is a 3 year starter. Jordan was state qualifier in Wrestling and Shot Putt in 2021 as well. GREAT to see a 3 way athlete have success !! Annual Cracker Barrel game is upon us, gets a little more juice as they say with return of Region Royalty ( I say that will upmost legitimate respect) in Kirk Kennedy along with his long time friend and DC Brad Stewart. Not sure when I will have a moment to stop by for an extended period of time, but as always, I want to wish all my Hoosier Conference the absolute best except on weeks 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. and possible weeks, 10, 11, or 12 too (Hoosier Conf vs Region in Section 25 !!!). Cheers Coach Nowlin P.S. I really thought the Freshman QB from LCC JV last year was very good and talented along with the rest of their team, lots of good looking yutes (did you say YUTE?) so assuming that was the Metzger kid. P.S.S. West Lafayette until someone in the West says otherwise P.S.S.S.: I have a couple C(k)atalina's on my rosters: I have dropped the required POW POW P.S.S.S. S Sorry Kokomo area Hoosier Conf peeps: ONE EYE JACKS (Winamac, IN) destroyed my Tenderloin experiences over the years in your neck of the woods. P.S.S.S.S.S Local sadness, @CoachDurham , assuming he heard, but Rex Marskamp passed away last Tuesday, he was LEGEND in our area and NWI, sometimes ornery, but always REX P.S.S.S.S.S.S Really, cannot believe I am in year 20 for Bomber Football, its a very special program with my coaching brothers and all our hard working kids this year and previous years, I am very blessed!! -
This is another Rinse Repeat... last time it was Ernie Acorssi to help the clues one named George.......that led to Pace/Fox.....to Nagy...... Now Bill Polian.....who was best known for drafting Peyton Manning..... which got him in the HOF.... yea real reach there.... https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2017/02/former_bills_gm_bill_polian_says_chad_kelly_is_most_talented_qb_in_2017_nfl_draf.html Tom Brady doesn't come with Leftwhich..... as stated.... neither does Mahomes, Kelce, Hill with KC OC..... The franchise still has not recovered from firing Lovie Smith in 2012 after going 10-6...... His teams were disciplined, played hard, played their hearts out for the organization and he was PERFECT for Chicago ... but struggled to get the OC right, so Bears get what they deserve for not riding with Lovie At this point, they continue to be a business decision for this guy.... profited $200 this year somehow.....

Pace should be fired not because of the draft issues, all GMs have the good ones and bad ones He should be fired for: Signing Tarek Cohen to stupid extension Signing Eddie Jackson to stupid extension after 2nd year of Rookie deal Trading for Nick Foles... ok, so be it, but then Signing another nick Foles in Andy Dalton and keeping Foles on the books For SOMEHOW paying Jimmy Graham like 8 or 10 Million ..... when Jesse James would of been just fine... but ya know Jimmy caught last TD of 2020 season against the Lions.... so..... let's not cut him.... 2nd year in a row, Bears ornaments did not go up on the tree. Somehow, I made money on my tickets again this year.... oh my...not sure how
