    As the case with South Newton a few years ago, they might be better off in an Illinois-based conference. I believe Danville and Champaign are relatively close, but don't know much about the IHSA. They have one less "A" than we do because they are stupid.

    I didn't realize the original intent of the post, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers... No worries, man--IU is not truly horrible on the gridiron. They are doing good stuff, and I will say their chances of making a bowl game is as good or even better than Purdue...

    Elkhart Lake rocks! Kiel is also fun, too--I like the Fork and Dagger. But basically, you can find a Bob in any town up there. My go to in the UP is Dave, in fact there are two of them. BTW, their football team is undefeated...

    Guess what: everything is cyclical (how many times have I said this?!?), the Athenians, Bison, Bulldogs, Mustangs, Rebels, and everybody else having trouble right now will be back!!!

    Is Kiel still killing it? Although they're a very small school (1A or 2A if they were a few hundred miles southeast), they really updated their facilities and were undefeated. A friend of mine is on their school board and was a driving force on the upgrades, not an easy thing to do in a small town which is about the size of Rensselaer....

    Gulf shores I hope. I have family in Huntsville which is really not an ideal vacation spot other than the space center. 5-1 is shocking to me as well, and now the gullible optimist in me thinks we can run the table. Then again, we need more WR production.
