  7. In case you haven't noticed, the whole country has gone way overboard on political correctness. Our high school teams did not get the message which makes me sad. But, I'm here to help: Eagles, Falcons, or any other bird of prey: Raptors Indians or indigenous peoples: First Nations Bronc(h)os, Stallions, or anything horse-related--Equines Bison/ Buffalo: Bovines Bulldogs: Domesticated Canines Wolves: Largest Canines Cavaliers, Patriots: Defenders, Protectors Ancient (Athenian, Spartan, Trojan, etc.): Big Shot, Leviathan And the two nearest and dearest to my heart: Rebels: Agitators, Insurgents, Renegades Devils: Kings of Hell, Lucifer, Holly Terror, Scallywag, Wretch Your team may not be here, but don't think they're totally innocent, I just haven't come up with a name for them yet such as Greyhounds: sporting canine and Giants: Mutants Let's have them...
  8. Rensselaer runs a great program in a fabulous town, I've always had mad respect for the Bombers.
  9. Admittedly, I wrote Andrean and Hanover a bit too early, not intended.
  10. Although Hobart and Andrean have been good, Highland, Lowell, and Munster are spinning their wheels. Jury's out on Hanover and KV.
  11. Not good. Plus, you must remember this would be for all sorts, not just football.
  12. Interesting. I kind of like it, but kind of don't. Logistically, the Miners would be much better off in the Western Indiana Conference.
  13. They play in the NCC, just an average league. Lowell isn't the same Lowell.
  14. My comment wasn't necessarily a dig at the 59ers, but they seem to lose some games they should clearly win.
  15. Andrean is very inconsistent.
  16. I was surprised, but like it.
  17. I lived and worked in Chicago for over 20 years and hate this idea. But sadly, I don't think it will go to a ballot as Johnson, Pritzker, and the McCaskeys will make sure it happens. The Bears need to focus on pitting a good team on the field first.
  18. I'm probably the only one who knows where you get your handle from--well played, sir...
  19. It just seems too highly sensationalized for a regional paper...
  20. I never read the Indianapolis Star; this is a reason why.
  21. I'm not one to start fights, but coaches have a duty to be an ambassador for their team. They need to keep a level and win with class or lose with grace. Fans also should heed this.
  22. Not really. I live as lose to CL as I do Lowell. I just think HC is about to get a much tougher game against Chatard than most NWC teams .
