  1. Last I checked, you don't get PM's.
  2. Good Lord, you'd think these coaches could put together a good team with the resources that they have. I know you don't like Dabo, but you have to respect the commitment he gives to the kids who were committed to the program from Day 1.
  3. Just for fun. Add Penn and Elkhart to the SAC for football only and send Luers and Concordia to to the Northeast 8. I think all four schools would be better served in that scenario. Wayne, South Side, and Northrop would need to amp up their game with that kind of brutal schedule.
  4. I don't think they take a step back. They'd be favored to win 5A again this year for sure. They are strong at the skill positions, but only return one starting offensive lineman. I think 6A is won in the trenches. I'd like to see how they handle Warren Central in week one before I anoint them as a Top 5 team.
  5. Apparently there are some analysts out there that think Logan could be as good as Ivan Taylor. Don't ask me, I'm not a scout, so I have no clue. His three star rating is low because he was considered a "lock" for baseball at Vanderbilt, so no one recruited him other than Iowa, who was the first to take a chance on him, then Indiana. Given the defense the Hawkeyes have, that's a pretty high profile offer.
  6. I guess that makes sense being near the airport?
  7. 1. Center Grove 2. Ben Davis 3. Brownsburg 4. Crown Point 5. Westfield 6. Cathedral 7. Warren Central 8. Snider 9. Hamilton Southeastern 10. Carroll
  8. He was locked into Vanderbilt for two years. But when the Irish come calling for football, it's a game changer.
  9. Give me Top 6 then...........c'mon. They took the Panthers to the wire twice loosing by a combined 6 points and lost by just a touchdown to the team that took out HSE. I get it, you don't care for the coaching staff over there. But that North Side team was capable of beating anyone in 5A that year. Why else would 2500 fans show out for their team in the playoffs? C'mon, you can say it....."somewhere in the Top 6."
  10. Well, no, I wasn't joking. North Side had three losses in 2022. They lost by a touchdown to the 6A runner up. And twice by a combined 6pts to the team most considered 5A's best team throughout the season. There were four pretty good teams in 5A that year, North was one of them. At least give me #4. I know you can't stand North Side, but give credit where credit is due.
  11. They weren't so bad in 2022. I dubbed them as the 2nd best team in 5A that year.
  12. Agree. Kind of like North Side. They need to lose 10 kids so they can play at the 4A level.
  13. Agree, but I do think you're at least at Zionsville's level.
  14. Hopefully. I like the "bye" weeks. It gives starters an opportunity rest and the reserves an opportunity to fine tune their game.
  15. In eight seasons, Kyle Enright has won 9+ five times. That's pretty good consistency other than the 2022 season where they went 4-7. Those more familiar with Indy tout DC as a 'growing enrollment' area, hence the expectations for their program. They are my preseason #1 in 5A.
  16. Chatard is 4A this year, correct?
  17. I think Snider's defense would have kept it competitive. I think 6A is a crapshoot even when one thinks there is a clear cut favorite. Last year we had three teams that were right there with one another in Brownsburg, Ben Davis, and Center Grove. But Warren Central proved that anyone can be beaten on any given night providing we're talking Top 20 teams. Mishawaka proved that last year in 5A as well. Even the best teams can fall.
  18. That's the problem the smaller schools in 6A face every season. They may be having their best team ever, but then they have to hope all of the mega programs are having an "average" season simultaneously. Unfortunately, it doesn't typically happen that way. Twenty five years ago, one of the three were going to have an up year. Now we are looking at 3 of 6 or 7 having up years.
  19. Agree. It's a great poll and I enjoy the read as well. I just would have stopped after Ben Davis, Brownsburg, Center Grove, HSE, and Westfield. Once Zionsville got involved, I had to at least ask.
  20. No, I can't say that. Nor did I ever say that. I just found it odd that you mentioned Zionsville without giving Crown Point, Snider, Carroll, or Penn a look. Not saying your biased, it just looked that way with the mention of Zionsville. I would agree that 6A starts with Center Grove, Ben Davis, and Brownsburg. It's a crapshoot after that whether you're Central Indiana or Northern Indiana. Now, five years ago, I may have had my entire Top 10 in Central Indiana. Things feel a bit different now. Everyone is quick to point out what Ben Davis did Crown Point, but oblivious to what Crown Point did to Westfield. The Rocks were playing catchup that entire game and were were the best team in the best conference in the state. The year before, again, the best team in the best conference was taken out by a northern team. You lost me at Zionville is all.
  21. I've got East Central 3rd in 5A at the moment. Chatard will be tough to beat in 4A. It's a shame that two of Mishawaka's best players moved to Elkhart. Or was that Northwood? Either way, both teams I think can be competitive with Chatard.
  22. Not saying I'm in favor of it. I would like to see Penn and Elkhart move over to the DAC though.
  23. Why not? Driven T once proposed a northern super conference. All bets are off since it appears that high school football will follow in NCAA's footsteps regarding many issues.
  24. Bingo. That would lock the DAC in as the second best conference in the state.
