That was Heritage Hills back in the glory days. Not only would we run 3 or 4 plays, lineman would walk to the line and tell them exactly where the ball was going, and say "good luck". The same play would be run until it was stopped....then run something else, but it typically wasn't stopped.

Fact. Chatard is just a borish conversation anymore. Nobody would be surprised if they put a running clock on their opponents in every game they have left (one of those comments that I hope doesn't age well). It is just a magical place. For the record, I am torn....I would love to see TV (or anyone!) beat these guys, but on the other hand, I want them to keep winning and get bumped to where they belong.

The two teams played in the regular season every year from 1974-1981 and resumed the regular season series in 2014. They have also met four times in sectional play and once in the regional. This is exactly my issue with this game. There is no doubt that GS defense is stouter than NP. Goes back to my comment about our consistent need for offense.

I'll say again, I hope you guys are right about the low scoring game. I really feel like we will need to score a minimum of 28 if we have a shot. If we can keep it low, we will have quite a game I believe.

You want something from us? Really I don't have much but here is what I think. I think that as good as our defense has been this year, they will have to play better than they have all year to win this game. As far as offense goes, we MUST score 28 if we are going to have any hope to win, maybe 35. We MUST play better than we have all season, if this doesn't happen we will get torched. Here is what I know, we have to find a consistent offense that can move the ball. Rely too much on Jett to make a big play or two, again, we will get torched. Jett can pull something crazy out and end up in the end zone (just a day at the office for him), but that won't work more than a time or two. We have a few athletes that can pull off big plays, but against GS you only get 1 or 2 of those, if you are lucky. It must be a consistent moving of the ball, which did not happen against North Posey. LINE PLAY. It will be the line....how will be compete snap after snap at the line..... Brody Klem--homicidal maniac, he will want a piece of Jett, all night long and he will be a problem to deal with. Great kid by the way.

My wife says to me, "I feel that we are overrated at #2"....which I agree with. A win Friday night (which we will have to play better football than we have played all year to pull off), then I feel that it is deserved.

The Patriots also faced three teams that consolidated into Gibson Southern High School in the 1972 and 1973 seasons. Heritage Hills went 0-2 vs Fort Branch, 1-1 vs Haubstadt and 2-0 vs Owensville. In the first season of Patriot Football, the Patriots went 9-1 and their only loss was to Fort Branch (15-12). The Titans won the first three meetings in the series by beating Roger Snow’s Patriots in 1974, 1975 and 1976. The Patriots didn’t beat the Titans for the first time until 1977, which was the year Bob Ashworth became the Patriots Head Coach. The 1977 season was Bob Clayton's only season as Offensive Coordinator at Heritage Hills before he stepped into the Head Coach role. The following season Ashworth moved onto Evansville Reitz and Clayton took over the Heritage Hills program.
