  1. Conference affiliation and alignment affects football the most. In an 8-team conference, with a 9-game season, playing a round robin schedule, conference games take up over 75% of the season.
  2. And this is why the conference should stay at 7 members- East can finally beef up its schedule.
  3. It’s for a political campaign, it won’t be relevant after the election is over, but the art will be there for years.
  4. But, Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier and Bethel School District v. Fraser have determined that administrators can curtail student speech on school grounds, involving the use of school property.
  5. I really can't imagine a school administrator approving a design like that.
  6. Nope, not enough pay. One of my old friends teaches at Shortridge, however.
  7. And let's get back to the original idea- moving all non-con games to Week 1 and 2 helps with scheduling. History shows it doesn't.
  8. The SIAC expanded because the Big 8 was going to collapse, and the Big 8 was going to collapse because Mt. Carmel was going to withdraw. Mt Carmel was going to withdraw because Illinois was going to change their playoff format. Illinois didn't change their playoff format- the plan was scrapped.
  9. The SIAC moved all of their non-con games to Weeks 1 and 2 awhile ago- Memorial and Mater Dei ended up having to play each other in Week 2 because they couldn't find opponents.
  10. It also allows for games within the conference to be moved easier. Imagine if the Jeff/FC game was moved to Week 1 permanently. They now have three dates after Week 1 to use for non-con games.
  11. Cool. Now, for some data- https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/education/charter-authority-moves-to-close-nevada-connections-academy-1948270/
