What's the reasoning for North Harrison over Salem? Just looking for more chatter about teams.

Boonville at Paoli Eastern Pekin at West Washington Edgewood at Mitchell Springs Valley at Eastern Greene Switzerland County at Crawford County Tell City at Perry Central Brownstown at Corydon North Harrison at Salem Scottsburg at Clarksville Silver Creek at Charlestown Probably most interested in Valley/EG match up. Valley lost alot so they will be inexperienced but still some good pieces. Hoping WW takes a step forward this year and stays competitive against the upper teams in the conference

I figured I'd bring this back. Doesn't appear separating these conferences is doing anything. I've seen 1 play from WW scrimmage so far. Had to drive. Was an amazing 8 yd gain. 🤣. Everybody make it out of scrimmage week good to go?

Agree about the future here too. WW Jr High last year went 5-1-1. 2 cancelations due to covid. Our loss was to Crawford County so maybe that's a positive sign for them. I do know our youth league has 80+ kids signed up this year (grades 3-6). They are forming 4 teams. Not sure how our varsity or JR high will be this year but definitely seem to have a great foundation forming. That's good to hear about mitchell and from what pictures I've seen the new facilities are going to be amazing!! Can't wait to visit there again.

Rock Creek has been removed from Harrells. Leaves WW with an apparent week 6 opening. I assume it's numbers related. Also would cut us out a sectional opp.

I remember in jr high chasing down the Friday night lights crew at a West Washington game and being in back ground of every shot acting like a total idiot. Was a great time. Can't remember for life of me who we were playing. Fred Cowgil at CBS has been to WW a few times of last couple seasons for team profiles/team of the week stuff but have seen the old midgame chopper landing in the field in a long time.

They are just honorable mention but Brownstown is down in 2A

I'd take a step further and rig home and away too but that's me. Both get home rd 1. 1 seed plays on rd round 2 and 2 seed plays at home. If both make finals 1 seed gets home game. That's just me. I will say all this will lead to is down the road the "3rd or 4th" best team will complain if they lose rd 1 to top team and 2 winless teams play and 1 gets to advance. People are always going to whine or nitpick and that's why I don't think it'll ever happen. At the end of the day I don't think what happens in rd 1 or 2 generally matter when it comes to what happens in indy. So it's probably never going to be worth it to them

If it's just about best 2 teams meeting in finals just seed top 2 each sectional and random the rest. If "3rd best team" beats #2 in rd 1 well then tough. You weren't 2nd apparently.

Trying to be as unbiased as possible. Haha. They return all but 2..maybe 3 starters and still almost all Jr/So. A year in the weightroom should help. They had no outside run game or much of a passing game last year (which hurts my soul). Ill be curious if they tweak the offense at all. Team also played better then some scores indicate but man when the wheels fell off they really collapsed. Obviously all first year starters last year after losing every starter off back to back semi state teams. I like alot of the kids. Chase, Holloway, Strother, Cruz...I could go on about a bunch. Just gotta hope year 2 is smoother and they are faster and stronger.

If i had to take an early projection I'd say 1. Paoli 2. Perry Central 3. Springs Valley 4. Mitchell 5. West Washington 6. Crawford County

Should be an interesting season. Valley lost a ton. I'm curious how they bounce back. Not sure how much paoli lost but they have their running back still so I'm sure they will be good. Should be an interesting season.

Coach Thompson is good. We haven't beat them since 2016. Last years beatdown was worst I can remember. I wont cheer for them but can't deny they are trending in right direction. Makes me sick....😂😂

Honestly torn if I miss you guys or not. 😂. I still read most Linton threads. Wouldve been interesting to see our 2019 2020 match ups unfold but I seen alot of our most talented teams fall to Linton. 2004 was fun game. 2012 was a good team that ran into such a good defense. But 2015 was my favorite. Was one of my first years on the board and it was me vs 100 fans in the game thread. Game was much closer then the final score of 35-14 as Linton scored 2 late as we got gassed. I remember fans talking about how Linton hadn't allowed 100 yd rusher all season and Landon McPheeters wasn't gonna be different. Had over 100 at halftime if I remember correctly but wasn't enough. I moved out here from Louisville in 5th grade so I wasn't around during WW 93-94 runs so my only 2 regionals we had at that point were both loses to Linton. 19-20 would've been 2 more great games I think. But we may have lost and still been searching for those SS appearances we finally got with you gone. 😂. Of course now we are rebuilding so I really don't wanna see you guys. Maybe in a few years. Holden Bowsman (Phillips son and QB of those SS teams) is now first year on coaching staff. So when he makes his movie moment of winning state as a coach for his father we have to beat Linton on the way. 😉

I remember when we played them in semi state (2 years ago) their coach was excited about their soph class (will be seniors). Just never know who sticks around. Yes I agree that schedule is much better but didn't seem to matter couple years ago. That team was talented as hell obviously.

Agree Lutheran from south. Not sure it'll be close (admittedly don't know what CC returns). Just to talk about someone different ill be watching Providence closely. Coming from 2A they have a good style. I assume they replace Perry Central in sectional 48. They could be a quietly good team and they play a good schedule.
