  1. Scecina is surprisingly small and not as speedy as one would think. MD should handle them. Not sure if they can handle LS speed and size this year.
  2. Has the MD-Reitz score changed anyone’s opinion about who comes out of sectional 24?
  3. Roncalli will have to really work to get out of sectional in two years with BJ and Mooresville. Big drop off in Jr class Depends on what kind of QB play they get. To beat Roncalli they will have to throw a lot. They could give Mooresville problems
  4. Does this say more about 4A playoff, 2A playoff or is it just a rivalry score?
  5. EC said about 5 times in post games on radio and YouTube that they are looking forward to next game against Roncalli.
  6. Previous seasons Roncalli has had no one going both ways. The drop off between the Sr and Jr class is causing a few to play both ways. Hansen is is playing some linebacker. The Lauck kid is going both ways as he should. Guy is a beast. I would say probably 2 full time and 3 more situationally.
  7. Spent a few minutes pulling QBR data from MaxPreps with QBs for good teams that I could think of quickly: Moyers 2022 - 76.5 Leffler 2021 - 125.8 Slunaker (Mt Vernon) 2021 - 141.3 Ellsperman (Memorial) 2021 - 91.8 Burton (East Central) 2021 - 121.3 Burton 2022 - 124.4 Geske (Brebeuf) 2022 - 69.7 Buckman (Brebeuf) 2022 - 35.8 Buckman (Brebeuf) 2021 - 107.9
  8. Please elaborate. What number is he so I can watch in the playoffs? Have not seen any games this year. I thought the WR from last year was physically a difference maker as no one could guard him. Of course he had THE difference maker throwing the ball to him.
  9. BJ is going to have a really tough time putting points on the board.
  10. The EIAC is so out of balance that it is hard to judge. East Central is such a juggernaut at the top and the bottom of the conference is pretty bad.
  11. Chatard smoked Merrillville two years ago and then you still have to explain #1 Mishawaka vs Northwood.
  12. Seems like all the other classes have leaders emerging. 5A has one big jumble. Either parity or no one is outstanding. 5A #1Whiteland loses in a surprise, #1 Mishawaka loses to a middle of the pack Northwood. There has been talk on this forum that the true 5A enrollment schools don’t stack up well against some of 4A/3A schools.
  13. General Comments: 6A: Brownsburg is making a very strong case vs everyone 5A: whoever mediocres there way into the finals. No one is seperating from the pack and they are loosing to teams they should not 4A: Roncalli/New Pal winner smokes Northwood. 3A: Chatard is down. Could Lawrenceburg sneak out of south? Does GS have a difference maker to carry them in a game? 2A: Not Scecina. Too small and not over the top athletic enough. I also don’t thing MD is as not good as last season. Really like Linton’s size and athletes I also think Andrean took a step back when they lost their QB 1A: . Lutheran is going to obliterate the field.
  14. I will be interested to see how You think New Pal’s schedule will help or hurt them the rest of the season. Being healthy is a huge plus. I also remember two years ago Roncalli went down to EC for final regular season game and it took EC about 1.5 quarters to wake up after playing the likes of Connersville and Batesville.
  15. He is a very patient runner. Lets the hole develop and then explodes through it. Roncalli is also a very patient offense. Seems to not panic and trust that they will grind you down. He is a state qualifier wrestler and when I played for Coach Goebel he was always fond of those type of players. He also showed some nice speed last night.
  16. 1896 and 24TDs. Also has receiving TD. 270 yards per game. Been over 300 three times.
  17. It will be interesting to see if Hansen can make up ground in the Mr. Football race. He is putting togetget one of the all time great seasons in Roncalli history.
  18. I know LM was missing a stud, but I think Roncalli passed test 1 pretty well. Will be interesting to see how 2 and 3 go.
  19. Don't know for sure, but one would assume they do. My comment has more to do with me trying to understand why BJ and where they fit in 4A. Harrison is a pretty solid program (Roncalli played them two years ago) and SW seems to be a pretty strong program in KY. I have mixed opinions about everyone they have taking snaps on the roster and seem to be pretty suspect running the ball.
  20. Cal Preps seems to be putting a lot of weight on the BJ win for Chatard. More than the South Warren win fo r GS and the WL Harrison win for West Lafayette.
  21. Swartz is also playing OL when they go heavy run package. (Extra OL instead of a WR) The JR class really does not have much in size, so they are really dependent on about 6 SR OL/DL. I was quite plesently surprised that the JV beat Cathedral.
  22. Bump this back to the top. Hope to see a Northwood roster.
