Coach Radtke has reffed a few of our boys games through the years. I had never officially met him until this past year. I was walking past him and Coach Barr during half time of jv game (he was just waiting for our jv game to end so he could ref our varsity game) Coach Barr grabs my arm and goes kreigh, i want you to meet someone. This is Russ Radtke. He told Coach Radtke that I know a lot about schools and coaches from diff schools. Coach Radtke asked whatever i heard about him was a fib haha. I said well sir all I know is where ever you go.. You win and your former Jays and Panthers respect the heck out of you. I told him it was an honor to meet him. Pretty nice guy.

He could break his leg/arm going down the stairs in the morning. He could break his arm or leg in Soccer too. Do they have to wait for those old timers to die? Or what? Do they realize it might increase enrollment?

Bremen Culver Knox Pioneer LaVille. LaVille is gonna be pretty tough for the Warriors. They're bigger! They're stronger! They're faster! They've got more facial hair! 😂. I just hope the Warriors stay healthy, continue to gain experience and I hope they compete. They competed for a bit against Pioneer and I hope if they can get into the red zone against the lancers, they can punch it in for six. 3 of the first four games are always brutal for the Warriors. I hope this will prepare them for North Judson, Culver and Triton who probably aren't on the level of Knox, Pioneer and LaVille but are gonna be tough to deal with. No this was not a slant towards West Central or Caston. I think West Central is a team we match up well with and Caston who has lesser numbers will play their hearts out.

Thats an interesting question. Vega sure had the better high school career and more team success and as a little guy from winamac.. I knew who Frank Vega was and he didn't even play us. I barely knew who Brandon Dillon was until Dalton Button went to college with him at Marian. Did Indiana, Purdue, Ball State and Indiana State recruit him?

Feel so bad for senior Chris Smith last year and feel bad for Hunter Schanlaub this year. Both good players and good kids. I heard Caston was up two scores fumbled on WC goal line and WC got it back and drove it down field and scored...and Caston had a shot at end. Ill always wonder... What the HNAC would be like if North White and West Central accepted out of gate to come along with Caston, Pioneer and Winamac to join Culver, Judson and Knox.

I heard LaVille was in Pioneer's red zone 4 times and didn't score. How many times did Pioneer get in LaVille's redzone and not score. ?

I believe Koby James and Gaumer (who was doing his best Ali impression against us week 2) were two of the cats out. Both are two way players.

I think Caston could compete and maybe beat North White. I thought last year Caston was better then North White.

Yes. I picked LaVille to win, but I knew Pioneer had a great chance to win. Saw LaVille had a pick on Pioneer's 5, Lewellen had a kick return and Von Toble picked up a bad snap and took it to the house. Can't let those things happen. Pioneer will be very good the next two years. They won't fall off completely. Theyll still be a winning program but I could see them losing a couple conf games at that time for a couple years.

Warriors win 62-24. Was down 18-16 at half, had a dropped TD and a rushing td called back. NW qb hit cobb and #80. Warriors regrouped in 2nd half and outscored them 46-6 in 2nd half Great games by Beau Brandt, Gabe Townsend, Trent Fox, Brayden Lynch and Russell Compton. Good to see Waylon and Jesse Jenkins, Dylan Penicaro and Dylan Brown get some playing time upfront early on along with Shayden May and Remington Schwartz.

Who are the d1 athletes at Angola and West Noble.

Winamac and West Central play for the Tomahawk. Its obviously a tomahawk but has both schools colors painted one on each side. Its used for football and basketball. Winamac is 24-4 in the last 28 games when you combine football and basketball.

You have to also look back and see this team isn't nearly as talented as the 15,16,17 and 18 teams. This is a pretty good Pioneer team but I dont think they are on THAT level.

I think Ezra Lewellen is a QB. He threw a couple nice passes from what I saw. Yes, Hes shorter then what most prefer at QB but his shiftyness and his vision when running the ball is superb. I agree their depth has taken big hits to graduation the last two years. Brenton Mersch and Diego Badallo can be factors in the receiving game. James is a pretty good TE. Ezra and Addai are electric in the run game. Von Toble and Wireman are good guys in supporting roles. Their OL took a hit with Schnurpel going down. Gaumer missing 2 1/2 games isn't good either. I think if Gaumer can come back and the OLINE doesnt take anymore hits they'll be fine. They have some unproven juniors who im sure could be good enough to fill in at other positions if someone needs a break or is banged up and can only go 1 way. I think itll be a tight game and exciting.
