  1. If it wasn't originally scheduled that way, then I'd say that's indicative of some sort of delay. However, it could be multiple things. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  2. Is that a recent change, or was it scheduled that way?
  3. I think graphics might be complete tomorrow. Insane to the see the progress this week.
  4. To be fair, I just love how it's going to look on camera. LOL
  5. Sheridan turf is finally going down. I didn't originally like the idea of the black end zone, but seeing it in-person looks NICE! Can't wait to see it with branding on the field.
  6. Thanks. I was afraid of that. As a broadcaster, I just like knowing absolutely every rule that I can. I'll stop being cheap. LOL
  7. Does anyone know of a place where you can find the rule books for IHSAA sports that DON'T require a membership or buying the physical book? Personally, this is crazy to me that we can't just look up rules for these sports, but I'm hoping I just haven't found the right spot yet. Thanks.
  8. The streaming options also have to sell ads. Let's not demonize one group of broadcasters for the sake of others.
  9. I broadcast games, and often do my best to keep stats as well. How does one get put onto a waitlist for this?
  10. A championship only matters in the year that it is won. Comparing titles from different decades or systems is just a waste of time mentally. Serves no purpose. Much like saying that a basketball state title today doesn't matter as much as before classes. Every title matters. Stop trying to create new ways to diminish someone else's accomplishments.
  11. We're getting dangerously close to abandoning "education-based athletics".
  12. THEY ARE OUT!!! Indiana High School Athletic Association, Inc. (ihsaa.org)
  13. There are actively like, 3 or 4 different logos that they use. The S with the claw is the logo that is on the official seal of the school. During my broadcasts, I don't use the logo with the claw either. I'll admit, it isn't my favorite.
  14. They were announced on the same day as the meeting in 2022. Hoping for the same today.
  15. The success factor change was voted down, 1-17.
  16. It's literally the school logo, but...
  17. Sheridan's turf work has begun. These pictures are from last Wednesday I believe. On Friday, I saw about 70% of grass completely gone. Also, the design for the completed turf.
  18. In 2022, the Executive Meeting was held May 3rd, with the alignments being announced later that day. The next executive meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday. Look for them to be announced later that day.
  19. LOL!!! Yes, because that's what "open enrollment" means. Dear God. If Sheridan is recruiting, then they suck at it. Who's many?
  20. Two great kids. In fact, one of the families brought multiple kids. One plays basketball. Set a new school record for threes in a game, as a Freshman. The one from Westfield was at Sheridan for his Jr and Sr year. Again, phenomenal kid. According to him and his parents, he was struggling in such a large environment, and the "small school" feel helped tremendously in academics and his state of mind. Are you suggesting otherwise, or is my sarcasm meter off?
  21. Sheridan returns a lot of their OL, but will be looking for a new lead RB. Return QB. WR is another position that they will be looking for, as all WRs and TE were all Seniors. That being said, these positions were also question marks going into last season. Sheridan and Coach Wright are pretty good at finding talent for one season in the skill positions. Also, worth mentioning that Sheridan has open enrollment. Both WRs from last year were from outside of Sheridan. One from Carmel, one from Westfield. As Sheridan has a rather large student body of transfers, it'll be interesting to see who/if any choose to come play/learn at Sheridan next season.
  22. I'm of the opinion that AC can really threaten 2A. Would be wild to see AC and Lutheran 4 straight years, but I honestly feel that those two could have been there in 2A in 2023.
  23. None of this can really be determined until sectional alignments, like Farmer said. With Park Tudor, Covenant Christian, LCC, Adams Central, and Lutheran all gone from 1A, it'll be fun to see the refreshing amount of publics leading the fray.
  24. You notice the original poster hasn't said much during this "debate". Me thinks he saw the sentiment and bailed.
  25. I do find humor in a comment you made in the past, about textbooks. The vast majority of schools are using funds to pay for these fields out of funding that cannot legally go toward salaries, textbooks, etc. These are called capital projects. The funding source of which is made up of property taxes. Rooftops to put it another way. Funding for salaries, textbooks, etc. comes from the state on a per student basis. This is why some schools are forced to utilize referendums. As with all governmental entities, all incoming money isn't just thrown into one massive pot and pulled from to pay whatever bill you desire. I think you would greatly enjoy searching through the Indiana Gateway. Go through some of these school districts financial forms, and see where the money is being allocated and going toward. I don't think you are a troll. However, I do believe your vitriol for this might be coming from a place of lack of education on the source material.
