  1. Drew Crum-Hieftje was all state last year . Unsure the extent of his injury but he did leave the stadium. If we lose him and the loss of our kicker/punter it cast a little doubt on the shot I felt we had at state. Really miss the 40+ yd range the touch backs and punts. The loss of our center has been filled nicely however thebpkayer who filled it was supposed to be a contributor on defense. This is why it's hard to follow the Panthers these days from my perspective . At any rate best wishes for them moving forward.
  2. The bad calls were all in the first half imo. Personal foul on a roughing passer where the qb didn't even go to turf just hasled the qb a bit. The trick play where seymour got to the redzone hit the turf first , guy next to me was recording game and played it back . Lack of holding calls on seymour oline. Without the refs doubting seymour would have come away with 14 points . I must have missed the play you were speaking of.
  3. @ptrcant believe I'm saying this #4 drew crum-heifte looks to have broke wrist tonite was sutting next to his dad when he weent down . he is probanly our best dB and plays some offensive snaps ..... .
  4. 1st game I went to this year. tonight at seymour. this is the worse officiating crew I've seen I years. ridiculously bad.
  5. How does that even happen. top team in your class and our kicker is lifting weights in playoffs and breaks a collar bone..... something ain't right happens way to much.
  6. Just goes to prove 1hat I keep saying. every year key pieces get season ending injuries. I was starting to think South had a good chance this year. he's hit a 40+ yarder this year and always gets a touch back on kickoffs. real disappointing.
  7. @ptr decided to go to game tonite 1st game this year. word in the stands is our kicker broke his collar bone. he is a excellent kicker too .. Imagine that .....
  8. last year we were without our #1 wr DeAndre black our #1 & # 2 rb's Addams and morrison at the regianal final vs castle . it really goes back farther than a few years and I can't remember names but ever since the 2014 team lost at semistate to Cathedral we have lost at least 2 or 3 starters a year some years they were lineman recently were skilled players. I have wondered if it is linked to turf . studies have shown there are more season ending injuries on turf .
  9. Alot has changed since the redistricting in monroe county. In the 1990s you could expect a long tourney run from bhss and they did just that 7 regional titles I believe. But take away those old bhss communities and student body sending them to bhsn has weakend the program. I have the same mentality as you now . Sort of I'll believe it when I see it.
  10. aaaahh the bloomington north myth has been busted. had to listen to 3 different radio stations from the area all of the announcers were just gushing and blushing over bloomington north. the 95.1 announcer literally sounds disappointed that south pulled it out......
  11. anyone who is familiar knows south had a rookie at center (after losing their senior center to a season ending all early in the season) who snapped the ball over the head of qb 3 times for losses of 63 yards and many other bad snaps that caused delays in the game vs b north . unless something like that happens again I suspect south would win by 2 tds.... as for the rest of the tourney I would have no idea haven't seen any of the teams 'up north' . Should be fun watching.
  12. There's no doubt in my mind that the best team since 98 was the 2014 team that lost to Cathedral in OT in the semistate. This team may be right in there in the discussion though.
  13. Southport @ Indianapolis Tech Jeffersonville @ Columbus North Whiteland @ Terre Haute North Franklin @ Terre Haute South Bloomington South @ Bloomington North - Even tho bhsn defeated bhss regular season a lot of people don't know what a disaster our center was with all the lost yardage with bad snaps and delays in plays caused by bad snaps. I suspect bhss is the better team now that the center has more experience. could be bhsn just is their year and something odd and strange will lead them to a W , like what happened in week 4.
  14. announcers keep saying seymour was 1st in scoring in 5a at 44 pts agame.
  15. @ptr no media for South game I assume? maybe here seymour radiohttps://www.92nashicon.com/index.php/seymour-owls-sports-on-92-nash-icon-wxku
  16. @ptr anywhere to find the individual stats from South brebeuf game?
  17. bhss, south seems to have deer in the headlights phenom vs the catholics in recent times. so sort of unsure about this one. ths guerin columbus n, cn is better than their performance vs bhs last week. bhsn is the same team that barely escaped at home vs bedford n Lawrence. waiting for bhsn to be exposed still.....
