CONFERENCE INDIANA 21
MuleDriver replied to MuleDriver's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Columbus north now are in the least conference co Champs. Dominating performance last night but they need to be careful dominating bhsn like that . Very likely the monroe county school Corp is going to go after some of Columbus norths districts to get them re-routed to bhsn the next school board meeting . They can't have that sort of inequality bhss tried it but paid the price in having to relinquish their common sense historic school districts. Just be aware of that next time cn. Try a shutout and keep your points down to below 40 ..... I'm always on the lookout during tourney time will be interesting to see cn vs. cg this year. I watched the 2007 sectional online when cn handled cg doubt it this year but never know . Anything can happen best of luck in the tourney bulldogs . -

Anyone else buying stocks? Last year two companies joined the markets that I was Interested in Palantir ticker symbol:(pltr) and Snow(snow). Both big data companies. Palantir named after palantiri the all seeing crystal balls in the movie lord of the rings is a big government contractor (suspected their software helped locate Osama bin laden as well as Bernie madoffs ponzi scheme and many many more criminal activities), every couple weeks we hear news of a gov contract extention with pltr or a new contract with a different gov department. Snow is more commercial than anything but palantir is trying to push into the commercial space and are constantly investing in start up spacs. While getting the startup hooked on their software. I chose palantir and half of my holdings are in palantir. The PayPal mafia Peter thiel and a couple other billionaires were also the founders of palantir. Thiel is the largest shareholder in palantir but is not a part of the management structure . Just curious if anyone else is a shareholder or has contemplated buying up some shares in pltr. I feel the co.pany is making some good aggressive moves that could pay off very very nicely In The next handful of years

I haven't listened to a game by them in a few years . But I do hear the wgcl guys every season no matter what at some point usually during the bhsn bhss game say that they don't like it when south dominates north and that everyone wants a more competitive even series..... they're probably on the school board also and the reason why so many neighborhoods in souths historic districts are now at North so it can be fair and everyone gets a trophy type of people. Makes me sick .... 😫 lol. Anyways I will also say that wgcl guys continually even when south isn't playing against North will call the Panthers the Cougars or call them bloomington north. They did it last Friday at columbus they referred to souths sideline as the cougar sideline or bench . And I love Joe Smith to pieces but he is really losing it innhisbild age he makes several.mistakes every game . -

I checked them on john harrell b4 the season and if you look back on their recent seasons they have had Some good teams. Other than that I remember in the 1990s south playing Cincinnati moeller , played Massillon Ohio , Dayton meadowdale. I like the idea of playing teams out of your circle . Hope they keep doing it . But hammond again has had some good teams . -

I just don't like they way the season is progressing. Reading the last few articles on the hto apparently griffin the #1 receiver going into the year is done for the season walking on crutches. The qb has an ankle late the in the season and now we don't have a week 8 game. The sectional is wide open at this point . I think 5 and 6a already get a bye tournament week. -

Coaching philosophies differ, hopefully the qb will return soon. Although like you said cn was the better team and would have won most likely anyways. But man..... teams run flea flickers In youth league ... you can't let that stuff happen I believe bhsn did the same thing to south or one of our earlier opponents unsure who it was. Then the 66 yd td pass also they have been blowing coverages all year . Each game teams seem to succeed throwing it deep on the Panthers. And mccoullougs brother is back there along with the transfer from bhsn can't recall his name ..... -

Congrats Columbus North ci Champs. I Have at least a better idea where bhss is at. I know we have talent in our secondary one is going to iu , but the flea flicker and the other long over the top pass as well as the other td pass that just so happened to fall into a cn receiver hands with bhss players all around and finally the field goal blocked return for a Td were all problems that should be easily addressable. Was cn 24 points better than bhss ... yes but not neccasairy physically . Broken coverages this late in the season this bad to a team that has made most of their success on the ground this year is somewhat concerning. We'll that all but wraps up CI . I would assume cn should take care of business the next two weeks. -

Tough game tonight I'm not able to watch it. Listening though. Qb going out in 1st quarter probably didn't help much. -

I as well am a digital subscriber, usually only during football season. But I find myself disappointed every time I subscribe. Sometimes I find it more tolerable to look up the Twitter accounts of the sportswriters In the towns of the teams that bhss plays against or listen to the radio broadcasts of radio stations on those towns ( Sam simmermacker out of Columbus is a hall of famer ) . At any rate if you click on Sports on the ht you'll them see another tab where you can select high school . Scroll down and you'll find this article https://www.heraldtimesonline.com/story/sports/2021/09/29/bloomington-north-football-takes-roncalli-challenge/5880493001/ . Then scroll down farther and there isn't a bhss cn write up . The individual player write ups are pretty fair most years . However the game capsules are every week for all local teams . But again No such write up for the ci title game ..... -

I have not been to a cn or bhss game this season. Coach Johnson is only in 2nd season at bhss and the 1st one was the covid year . So things being as they are I will have to give cn the nod until bhss proves otherwise. 24 - 13 cn , South can't afford to blunder the football away on offense cn is coming off a shut out of thn which is a better team than most probably know. -

You clearly didn't read my comment In which I said there have been numerous articles or lack of during the last 10 -15 years. Obviously we don't agree ..... no biggie . It's always been a bunch of north fans or parents or whomever that make that same argument that south gets more press which hasn't been the case for quite some time and they know it too and it has become overkill sort of in their attempt to try and keep up with the Panthers I guess. Sorta like when they stacked the school board years ago to get souths districts . And the press does stoopid stuff like they did this week in ignoring the glaring CI title game and does a lengthy write up for the north roncalli game which most likely will be over after the 1st half. -

Your comment may have been accurate 15 or more years ago but isn't the case now. But this week is a perfect example the press has a write up on the bhsn roncalli game , as I said crickets for the two undefeated ci teams playing for the title in the same conference bhsn is in. There have been numerous occasions in the last decade that these types of things happen in our local media. I recall the indy star doing a write up on bhss a few years back and thinking that's about the only fair account the Panthers r gonna get. Either way the better teams usually draw more press that has even been admitted by the local media .... but crickets for the ci title week..... oh well ... -

Well here we go ready or not. Pretty quiet for being the title game week for CI. Our lovely bloomington newspaper did a writeup on the bloomington north roncalli game , crickets for the bhss cn game i guess..... that's modern bloomington for ya anyways. North gets most of the media support IMO. Is anyone aware of online streaming of this one? -

Man I think the d will perform but if south's o has anything like the 3 turnovers they had in the 2nd half vs Southport it will be smooth sailing for cn to get the W, that's just the facts . I'm just not used to Gabe Johnson yet. I like him and I think he's doing it his way and that is good to see . I just followed coach mo for 25+ years and knew what to expect. Gabe is 6-0 and I'm not complaining one bit. The qb coach left south for north a year ago and I feel like our qb needs to open it up a bit . He has a lot of good options to choose from. 2 te's in smith and Bailey then Hallett, fox , and griffin , and black and at wr maybe even another wr I'm forgetting but seems like they all can scoot and have made big plays this season so far. Had hoped to see them open things up a bit more by now radio guys mentioned that once or twice during last Friday's broadcast. So we wait and see Friday what they draw up this week. . -

Sagarin has bhss winning at cn 28-24. If there were any game like to attend each season it is the bhss cn or bhss martinsville . Bhss has played cn most years since the 1930s. Game should be "lit" as the younger generation would say . Too bad I can't make it.... any cn fans here? Used to be a few lurking around . -

Well outcomes tonight probably what most expected. Sets up the conference title game next Friday at Columbus north. I remember the same scenario a handful.of years back when moriarity was still coach at south. South with their defense are real tough , the offense at times probably could use some fine tuning . Columbus seems like a legit squad again. If south produces 3 turnovers vs cn next Friday likened did tonight vs Southport then cn should come away with the title. Hard to believe the conference is all but in the books . Goes fast -

I remember a couple handful of years ago someone on the Gid said perry had the large amount of foreign students. Why is there such a large portion of those students in that area? -
Way to early for sectional threads . But it always seem to come fast . Castle is the reigning champ 🏆 and has another good team this year . So I give them the nod until someone knocks them off. Last year bhss had 7 starters held out for covid and lost 28 to 0 at castle. Bhsn has lost 2 years straight to castle . E north ..... hmm I think they are quality but probably the last team anyone would pick To win this sectional. It's a toss up between bhsn castle and bhss in my opinion at this point In season. I haven't seen the progression I wanted to see from bhss so I look at it like an even field.
