Predict any matchup only has new pal as a 22 point favorite. That i believe is before the sagarin ratings updated the final of np cathedral. I would think it will only go up more. And i would also think that keeping within 22 points of new pal would be difficult in itself. We will play the game anyways. Big win for new pal over cathedral. Too bad new pal isnt in 6a i think they possibly would win the 6 a title this year.

Wenkers and Polk should be a tough combination as seniors next season . South loses a lot to graduation this year. Next year may be a rebuilding year at south ll of thier running backs are seniors wide recievers are seniors and some of those big guys in the trenches are seniors as well.

Good first half by the Highlanders. Good game plan had south guessing ! At times I felt like neither team wanted to win and play new pal next week I felt that way about south in the first half then felt that way about fc in the second half.

Little guy? Our sr. RB is 5'5 155 lbs but has a really good 100 m time. Not sure exactly what it is but speed is his advantage if he can get a crease in the blocking he will be gone. He actually broke the all time career rushing record for bhss last week vs castle. Mind you the panthers have been to at least the regional title game everyone of his seasons at bhss so that was a lot of opportunity to break the all time career bhss rushing record South has not be know for thier running game historically so 4000 yards was all he needed to get the record. Qb is our question mark . COuld have been a very very good team this year had we been better at qb. Not slamming our qb at all but he has only started 6 or 7 games now guess i mean that had we had more experience there we could have been a lot better because we have some really good receivers.

Will south be able to flex their tougher schedule and be stronger overall than floyd? Im guessing if south continues to play as good as they have the last couple weeks with some improvements here and there they will be okay vs floyd . If south lets up a bit and doesnt give it all they have then it may get interesting.

Well i have not heard much from the bhss camp this week. Not much either from floyd. Here are the possible semi-state pairings for next week 11/22 'If' Bloomington South were to win they would be on the road for semi=state regardless of the winner of the other regional. Only one scenario would have either of these two teams being at home and that is np at fc. New Palestine at Floyd Central 'Bloomington South at Indianapolis Cathedral Bloomington South at New Palestine Floyd Central at Indianapolis Cathedral

BHSS in a lot of minds should beat floyd ''if' they put their work in this week . South has been up and down this year. With an injury here and there (not as bad as the last 3 or 4 years) and a one game suspension here and there and a qb that didn't make his first start until week 4 i just don't think bhss has built up enough continuity/improvement this season to be able to defeat cathedral or new pal or valpo/dwenger for that matter. Those teams are on a different level i believe, even if everything goes wrong for those teams and everything goes right for bhss i think all you would get is a competitive game for 2 quarters. Which i would still like to see happen.

Weather forecast has the game just above freezing friday night. JH site has game time a 7 pm start wish they would move it back to 7 30 or 8 even with the travel distance. Oh well. His site predictor also changed since the weekend. It first had this game 31-21 bhss now it says 38-14 bhss. I think souths offense should 'get theirs'; going have to see if the ';d; can turn in a game like they did last week or better. Anyone going to this game ? I wont be able to make it.

Pretty sure south and floyd played in a holiday tournament last year. South has been playing castle at basketball as well in recent years. But I'm not trying to think about basketball season yet. Mist of the attention is going toward the new goal cathedral game. This matchup seems unimportant. . . . . . . . Likely the winner here loses next week but there are still a lot of good players in this game so im looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Souths rb just broke the bhss career rushing and fc sounds like they have a good rb as well could be a high scoring game

I assume if he played last year he will again. South will be a threat to go deep in the tourney this season. Their wide receiver #9 plays basketball.

@ptr the computer ratings have south by 20 points. John harrell has south by 10 . However you cant take any team lightly. I think south should be fine but fc does have a good rb and if they can pass it will be a tough offense to deal with. I could see this being a high scoring game . South d line seems to be firing on all cylinders , Darnell boyce has missed several games this year for various reasons but with him and cody root and bomba they have some real size there. Inside backer went out last night hope he isnt out next friday.

Kyle Bramble was fun to watch, bhss has a lot of size in the d line . Souths senior inside linebacker went down vs castle with a hamstring problem. Sure hope he will be available vs floyd looks like we will need him. Sometimes you dont need a lot of size with wright all you need is some daylight . Very impressed panthers again will have to bring forth their best effort sagarin and computer rankings i think have a 70 some percent accuracy but 30 % of the time they dont get it right. John Harrells site has south favored 31-21 . Now what i am hoping for is that the game doesnt start until 8 pm that way a can come and catch the second half or so. We will see.

I just watched some of his hudl highlights. Looks like a real good player breaking a lot of tackles with break away speed. South will need to work on wrapping up. Makes fc dangerous with a good passing game to see them operate out of the single back formation . South will have their hands full. The panthers held Castle to 4 yards rushing in the sectional title game on 29 attempts. I believe there were 6 sacks to negate the few rushing yards castle had. Is wright getting offers from anyone?

How does he stack up gainst fc greats? Who was the fc rb a decade ago had a great career cant remember his name . Highlights of him anywhere online? I think i read an article on him earlier this season isnt he from Australia or something . Looks like bhss will have to bring another hard week of practice to prepare for fc.

Castle will be tough in the upcoming seasons , freshman qb with a lot of experience and sounds like a young oline returning .

The southport bd game reminded me of a southport legend. Marlon Fleming. I went to the 1990p semistate game between bd and southport bd womn that as well but marlonm was a beast out there.

I wish i could make it . Hopefully they start the game at 7 30 or 8 because of fc travel then i will be able to see some of it at least. BHSS and FC have never played on the football field. Makes it interesting. Hope thge teams get their injured players back. South lost a senior Inside linebacker to a hamstring tonight. Not sure how bad it is.
