  1. And this should move LCC up with last years win and the regional..that is six points.
  2. I believe this a huge difference. Holcomb said beginning this weekend, orange counties will be limited to social gatherings of 50 people or fewer. Red counties will be limited to gatherings of 25 people or fewer.
  3. I was told by an unnamed AD that there is a good chance that the IHSAA will be played in another facility due to potential Marion County restrictions.
  4. My biggest issue is we never find out why we didn't get one. When I look at who does anyone in a lead position in a association or ran a clinic..their names keep appearing. I was told when we applied politics and the good ole boys club was an issue. Our crew is in its 3rd year and I talked to a guy today who has two year crew that is doing a regional. Now I do not know if the coaches voted us as they said they were going to or not. Our entire crew is certified met all the requirements yet we do not and will not find out why we did not even get a sectional in a year officials were down. We have been told it will take 5-7 years to get the amount of votes we need. We have decided to just do Friday night games and not worry about going to the clinics, meetings, etc. We got a full schedule with being in an association or going to the clinics so save the time and money and not be upset.
  5. Wonder if they had this issue before they received a forfeit win. If covington waits a little longer to announce they may be playing this weekend
  6. Wont even be close. Pioneer will crush them. The one good thing about the HNAC first round games. Other than one team they all had a losing record. The draw did them favors. The most would be three.
  7. Yeah because if this is an issue. Wrestling will be real fun. They ought to just cancel that now.
  8. At least they can say their last game ever was a "W". Is this you? LOL https://www.purdueexponent.org/campus/article_40d3860c-1890-11eb-9c22-e73084b5d3cb.html
  9. Because each school is doing their own thing. That is why the IHSAA should have said this is what is going to happen. If you have players on your team you do this. Contact you do this. etc. Basketball is going to be a joke.
  10. So I am hearing that the Southwood team now can play. My question, how is that fair to the team they told they were forfeiting. Whose to say that team did not take off a few days and not prepare, now the day before they have a game. Is that right? Sounds like a good strategy to me.
  11. I understand that, but contact tracing at our school puts you out for 14 days. My point is the IHSAA should have mandated what they wanted all schools to adhere to, but they like always took the easy way out. If those kids were out due to contact tracing 7 days ago, then how are they eligible 7 days later? School up North coach told me if his kids get it they are out 24 days.
  12. IHSAA will not worry about anything, but the money and that is why they won't cancel. IMO IHSAA dropped the ball when they did not mandate across the board that this is what is going to happen when a team has positive traces. Too many schools are doing too many different things. Example: Volleyball team had principal with Covid, his daughter who lives with him and the star VB player was not quarantined or missed nay of the VB sectional, yet he was not allowed there. Another school had a few cases, they practiced together, yet only the player with the positive test was disallowed. IHSAA did not want to come and say this is how every school will handle it because they want the football money. I am not sure it should be cancelled, but maybe they should have thought about using Sagarins and only allowed teams in that qualify based on their seasons success. That would give some flexibility. What happens when a state finals team has to forfeit? Will they move game back? Will the school be honest? I just read one about no tourney means loss of money. So there is more concern about the money, than the player's health.
  13. So if you are to be quarantined for 10-14 days, these same players are out for sectional? Just read Peru football out.
  14. No, but I am sure 122 crews weren't either.. Thanks I understand why officials are needed and why many dont apply. We were by more than one politics is involved. Probably just officiate on Fridays and not worry about tourney. Then no association fees, meetings, where cussing was prevalent, and get what we got this year and not spend as much time. As former coach i always thought the voti g was a joke. One year every coach in sectional listed the same crew as not being wanted, yet they they were.
  15. Can someone enlighten me on how tournament officials are selected? Apparently assignments have been released and our crew did not get one. We are all certified, went to over the meeting required, supposedly had good coaches points. Is there a way to find out why, so we know for the future.
  16. Since there is no competition prior to Aug. 15. Does the mean the scrimmages are cancelled?
