Both end-zones, end-zone pile ons, first down pile ons and a skycam.
Heard they have it all.
Heard they just installed these. Even called the Patriots for their filming for dummy's book.

Purdue brought in Greg Brown, long time DB coach, who was at Auburn in 2018, though when you look at resume, doesn't spend a lot of time at one place

NFL? Easy now...
What makes you think with his resume he couldn't get a job in the NFL? There are position coaches in both the NFL and College whose resume pails in comparison to Kevin Wrights. Just keep in mind it was stated a job from NFL down to HS, that doesn't mean Head Coach though.

I know a story that was told to me very recently of a 6a coach that is very well respected recently stated that Maxen Hook would be playing in the NFL.
I could see that. He will continue to get stronger and faster as he continues to mature and work in the weight room with the Toledo program.

Don’t be so obtuse. The advantages of P/P’s are well known/documented/discussed on this very forum.

I. An name several teams that have beaten teams like Cathedral that were public schools. Including: Columbus East, Plainfield, Evansville Reitz, Jasper, Zionsville among others. As someone who is unbiased some of the advantages are perceived advantages. I can tell you first hand a youth league (like Center Grive and New Palestine) can be a huge advantage compared to what some P/P have. When you can have players running their system that long it becomes second nature when they get to HS. I could go more in depth. For the record my son attended a public school.

Speaks even more for New Pal considering it's one, a public school, and two, has less than 1200 students. There have been a handful of HS coaches who have made their way to the upper levels, NCAA traditional DI, and the NFL, I would venture to say that if Ralph wanted it, he has proven he can do it.
I guess I don't get why this matters?

Yeah it was clear that East was on and PC was off that night, but still a very good showing for CE regardless. PC was up 20-0 it was clear East was playing very well but physically outmatched. In the end PC barely made a 4th and 1 with about a minute on the clock close to the 50 yard line to clinch the victory 20-14.
I'd have preferred that effort in the playoffs but it was a well played game either way. My buddies and I were amazed at the outcome. PC had 6'3" 230 ends, slightly smaller LBs. QB clearly had talent but was off and done amazing receivers and good running back. I still don't know how that was a game. I've never seen a team against East near as talented including great Cathedral, New Palestibe, and Center Grove teams we've played over the years.
Possibly the travel had a little bit of an effect for some of the players being off. 3 and a half hour drive (roughly) for a Friday night game. We see that sometimes when teams choose to make long travel on Friday nights here too. They also may not have fully expected the fight they were going to get from East who can be physical. Pick Central was very talented, they were when I watched them in 2017. The best talented teams I have seen were a couple of St. Edwards teams. In 2006 I made my way to the Herbstreit challenge one Saturday at Nippert University of Cincy. I watched 4 games that day in 2 different sessions.
Byrnes (South Carolina) vs Moeller (Cincy)
Lakeland (Florida) vs St. Xavier (Cincy)
Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey) vs Centerville (OH)
De La Salle (California) vs Elder (Cincy)
Some great games that day. The Lakeland team though HOLY COW I had never watched a team so talented prior or since. Featured Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, Chris Rainey, Ahmad Black, Jamar Taylor, among others. St. X was pretty stout too. Lakeland ended up winning 25-22 in OT.

CE played a very good game against Pick Central... CE actually didn’t play a terrible game against CG in the sectional.. score ended up being 31-7 but a pick 6 and punt return to start the game was 14 quick ones to CG.. East defense only gave up 17 to CG’s offense.. I was impressed by CE’s team this year, they would have been in semi-state had they been in 5A. They would not have beaten New Pal tho.
Agree 100% Columbus East would have been in the Semi-State instead of Bloomington South. New Pal was an team that nobody was going to beat. Would have been a heck of a road to the finals for New Pal though. Whiteland, Franklin Cathedral, Columbus East, Valparaiso.

I have to agree with you, the one number that bothers me about Charlie is his age. It says he is 19, some say he is almost 20. How was he eligible to play his senior year? What is the ihssa rule on age? Back in the 1980s you could not be 19 before you started your senior year.
I guess my point is he is a man playing against mostly kids.
This has been discussed ad nauseam in a prior thread. Spegal was/is fully eligible to play with no doubts.

Pick Central has played Cathedral and Columbus East over the past few seasons.
Their 2nd Title in 3 years. Their QB has had a a great career for the Tigers. Watched him play as a Soph against Cathedral in 2017. The game last night was a good one. The Tigers were down 14-7 after 3 qtrs and threw 2 TD's in the 4th to win 21-14. Cathedral played at Elder this year (was an OT game Elder won 38-31) and Pickerington Central played at Columbus East (20-14 Pick Central won)

So, I have questions....
The Evansville Crimson Giants ?
10 Evansville Central players from 1921-22 played “professionally” for this team.
NOT NFL !
How many others on this list are not NFL players?

I don't want to take anything away from EM, but if they play Mooresville at Mooresville do they win that game? If EC beats Mooresville EM heads to EC for the Regional, do they beat EC on the road at EC?
I think Home field advantage and the distance a team travels is a HUGE factor in who gets to LOS. EM has had the best draw a team could ask for this year and last year getting both the Regional and SS at home and not traveling over 30 minutes for an away game. In 2017 was the only time EM had to travel over an hour (not including the State Championships) in the playoffs to play Danville in the SS.
Don't know the answer to your questions. I will say most coaches in High School football know you have to have talented and disciplined pleys, and you have to have a little luck on your side too. Every team that wins a State Championship puts those 3 things together. Be it luck of getting a home game at the right time or really anything else.
Looking back at the playoff run by Evansville Memorial this year, I think their toughest game was likely their game against Mooresville. Memorial took full advantage of 2 early turnovers in the game to jump up 14-0 and forced Mooresville to play from a hole. Credit to the Tigers for making plays and taking advantage of the opposing teams mistakes, and that is what good football teams do.
Congrats Memorial!

Only 3 fumbles all year (lost 1) that is 1 turnover in 330 carries. he only has 5 total turnovers career in 1,331 carries! Amazing!

Glad to chime in.
This is an interesting job. Fishers is a 6A Division 1 job, so the mega school issue is a huge obstacle. Depends on how important a state championship is to the school.
HSE is another issue. Youve got to wonder if the rivalry between these two schools and the future competition for athletes might take a toll on one or the other, or both.
Regardless, as AD, I would have to shoot for the moon on this one, and see how strong the Fishers brand really is.
If Im looking to win now, I make a call to the following guys :
Mike Gillin
Chris Coll
Kyle Ralph
If Im looking for a long term program build, these guys are on my list :
Nick Hart
Pat Shanley
Kyle Enright
Luke Amstutz
Shane Fry
Dave Sharpe
Kyle Ralph
Actually is a good list. That being said:
Mike Gillin - Mooresville, I feel this may be his last stop. Coaching where he lives seems to be content there and has totally turned the program around.
The more I look at it Shane Fry would be a great hire as would Pat Shanley and Kyle Ralph.
This could be a terrific job for Dave Sharpe. I know when he resigned from LaPorte to move to Indianapolis for their foundation in their sons memory. He stated Football is in his blood as much as teaching and he'll persue both once he is established in Indianapolis. Fishers would be a great landing spot for Sharpe and Fishers would get a terrific Coach to boot.
