The cyo ranks have been pulled upon n dwenger looks determined with their dawn workouts..if they can catch Brownsburg sleep walking they have a chance to keep it close..at least until the 2nd half.. I know the Legends lack discipline however they do have skill along with size on their D Line..I'll give them the upset..only if the coaches coach and keep their emotions in check.. Hadydock has d1 talent on the roster this year with his Generals..they should be able to cruise late.. Dinan has his D1 qb n should wreak havoc on opposing defenses this year. However, HSE has enough talent to overcome the great qb whisperer of the sac. Sparty has a hidden gem on offense at qb..greyhounds have not lost to them ever if I recall (98)?..don't see this being the year they do.. Cadets need a little magic to get back on track..they gain so much in the regular season..playoff time should be their goal..nothing wrong with taking a week 1 L. Knights have coach K..just like at Duke when their coach K roamed the sidelines..don't bet against n I can't either..they win early.. Archers seem to have some hype around them this year..maybe too much..until their line play improves ill stick with the Giants in this one.. Bulldogs bark..n eventually bite the upstart bruins..the talent from the Harding district now wear purple n gold..they overwhelm Bowens boys early 2nd half.. Black n gold game..warriors have a ton of talent up front where the panthers appear to lack size..I was wrong last year n would love to eat crow again this year yet my mind says warriors pull away late..

Talented sophomores lose at semi state..then Jr class win title..sr class is left to battle 6a..sf gets us at the right time every time until the sophomore class wins with talented Jr class.. Correct. He left..played varsity n ran for over 1400yds as a sophomore..came back this year..

Logan will be needed on both sides of the ball..the transfer rb didn't get many looks though..it was vanilla like a typical Snider scrimmage..lots of technique..not alotta beef.. qb looked like a 1st yr starter..

Wc -9.5..the panthers line looked like jv compared to sparty in the scrimmage..had size on the sidelines though..ya never know with tippy though

If they were in elementary they (as well as their parents) know wc can win titles with the right athletes..noticing the holes they had last year might have enticed them as well as playing alongside top tier talent equating more looks for everyone. Kids and coaches probably talk..hey come here and you will start and we can win state..Warren used to have a nice environment when I visited..large student body..I'm sure an athlete can make tons of friends while enjoying the scenery..

What about the transfer who only comes in due to a parent gaining or losing a job? Or perhaps now has to live with grandma..I'm not saying bench the guy who showed up everyday..I love Rudy myself..I'm just saying give em both some time to shine.."🏆🏆heck coach we like district titles round these parts" in my varsity blues vc

Ehh maybe tradition n loyalty..I understand the sentiment yet when you have a star player wanting to lace em up the memories of titles feel alot better than playing time..imho..back in the day it was cut and dry n kids knew not to transfer...in today's world ill hand out a few hundred dollar handshakes myself n ill be danged if he sits the bench!! I kid 😑

Yes and sometimes your neighborhood just isn't good enough..nothing wrong with a little help..b4 open enrollment that 2004 team wouldn't have had half the talent if they stuck with only those who came up in the feeder programs..so as long as they enroll as freshmen then its all good?

Somewhat agree here..yes its a travesty that the senior wr that runs a 5.4 40 who waited his whole life doesn't get as many plays as the Jr transfer running a 4.4..some schools have lost blue rings simply due to talent being on the sidelines and in the stands..let your best kids play..don't have the senior sit the whole game though..would he rather start n lose every game or win some hardware while being a team player??

Good grief..they sound loaded..wc had a few mistakes last year that seemed to be routine plays. Imo they can be a 6a contender this year if they get their fundamentals back right..i.e. catching wide open passes..

These kids mainly hear it from family members growing up about who top dog is around the city. I'll give you credit that Carroll has been moving up as their alumni love to pound their chest now a days..however..imo..a true rivalry throws records and history out the window..its the history n tales of the past that drive these games..North side south side..fundamentally sound..no..entertaining..yes..battle of the bishops..we usually call a winner b4 the season even starts..maybe Carroll haven't won enough conference titles away from the panthers yet..maybe they never will..had the pleasure of playing cyo for a coach that stated certain teams we help up..others we plant with a tombstone..with tippy n staff being from the ike tree I don't see the chargers ascending to number 1 anytime soon..plus its preseason n I enjoy the deliberation!

Ziembo may be looking at who will drive the gate with ooc games..we will see what crowd wc brings this year..Warsaw n East Noble will both bring large contingents..I agree as far as indy level reps getting them prepared for 6a play...id even go for a cathedral matchup..

Agree with the target being on the panthers back n most teams will play their best conference game of the year when suiting up against Snider. That being said..no school has a higher disdain for Snider than Northrop..the lopsided records and sharing of the field only fuels the fire...once sni high gets their own field then maybe it dwindles..those bruins hate to see someone else dominate on their turf over n over again.. I've seen luers beat Snider when they had a future pro on the team so I'm biased towards them with number 2 on the list...coach kay has won as a player n believes he can win as a coach..chants of Rudy come to mind when walking past luersfield. Dwenger has always had hard knock cyo kids that mix it up with fwcs youth. Winning conference titles which Snider should and could have won gives them number 3 on my list. Sparty was undefeated and still riding high off the Rhinehart run when Snider came into their place n snuffed out their playoff run with a late fg back in early 2000's. Had the pleasure of dating a girl who babysit those kids..they really hated Snider n I'm sure their classmates n future offspring do too. Being the top NHC dog with no playoff hardware makes them bitter n rival#4. Dinan has led the chargers to 5 on the list. Yes they have won recently and will continue to win games in the SAC...however being spartys little brother for so long hasn't put them where they should be mentally with the panthers..maybe in a decade they will jump into the top 3. Right now the history just isn't there 4 me. The legends not only have a team that believes it rivals snider..their community does as well..they are the best of the rest (no disrespect intended as the cadets, generals, n archers all have won games) when it comes to a program itching to beat the panthers. Some programs see beating Snider as their signature "championship" win..others don't..right now the others may be out of conference

After seeing them sucker punch the panthers last year I wouldn't look over them..their qb returns and have size up front..

I've seen them teach electorals that usually deal with fitness which non athlete students may enroll.

North Central seems to focus on other sports imo..basketball n track..similar to Northrop..so much success in one sport yet nothing in football..on the other hand wc bd and Carmel all have titles in the other 2..

Supposedly one of the top wrestlers in the nation has returned. Lb/rb combo..still will need more firepower for 6a.

Mishawaka to 4a n Warsaw to 5a..not sure what they bring back though..

The sophomore n junior class will not leave the cupboard bare..sf always bites Snider at inopportune times..never back to back or chance at a 3 peat..always ss loss..state title..sf regional loss x2 then back to 5a..the team that could compete in 6a graduates n their returning comrades are blessed with reaping the benefits of being sf into 6a..any program that wins 5a n then 6a will go down in history..cathedral seems to be the front runner for this feat..at least Snider is a distant second..
