The turfs being installed now are better than years past? Read how the NFL may consider going back to grass due to injury concerns and wondered if the purpose of turf is solely due to weather concerns? How will kids be able to rub some dirt on it if there are only fibers and rubber? What about the grounds crew? Oh the humanity!

Similar to the hype train with those Legends..Yes North side keeps catching strays! Rather some want to admit it, coaching plays a big part in why some teams never achieve those goals..all the talent in the world and when adversity hits..lights out..Not saying this with the pirates as Seiss may have complete buy in by now...Maybe more team bonding exercises may help? We see this with southern schools who cant crack the top 4 as well..they have talent..whats the difference?

I am on the fence with this one...Back when Harding was open you had guys that could play 5a(6a) ball while starters on the 5a squad would never touch the field at Harding...To make it worse, some of those 5a kids received conference accolades simply from putting on the jersey at a larger school. The starting safety at Carroll will for the most part always get the "hype" over the PH kid. Being a traditional power carries weight with the media and coaches as well..

Legend has it he was given one as a pet back in his younger years n has since kept him while turning pro.

New pal 4a/5a? Weird ac n luers both made runs after being bumped up. Any program winning back to back in multiple classes is crazy work.

Luers qon their first 3a semi state in school history..10.8 HH wi be slightly faster then legends qb..problematic..I do see the cyo has underdogs..how many teams have bumped up n won state besides cathedral n maybe ec??

Being a cyo kid n watching jimtown community reign down on luersfield was unforgettable..friends n I thought..is this notre dame's feeder high school..the Golden helmets n talent mixed with their raucous crowd..mind blowing

Had the pleasure of meeting a young man years back..asked what it would take for him to go to Snider instead of Luers..he replied "a scholarship"... he is now a senior lineman n also plays baseball as well...I don't bet against coach k in November n they have enough talent to bring home their first 3a semi state title..

They tend to fluctuate yet mainly reside in 2a..crazy fact is Luers has never won a 3a semi state game..

Ohhhhhh but when I said the largest class should have teams vying for a sectional title as their 1st playoff game years ago I got crickets..yes I called it 7a n we couldn't get 7 games on the championship weekend schedule yet my point was still valid!

Awesome if thats true. I was shocked to see that Carroll did not bring chartered fan buses? Back in my day the schools put up the money for the trips on school buses..oh how times have changed

Dog fight would b great for 6a..bb vs cp..id bet on cg vs wf both showing up for their rematch though..if cg does not win it this year can we finally say the "new blood" era has officially arrived or does it take a couple titles outside the anointed 4?

Had the privilege of playing for both cyo n public feeder schools..cyo preach fundamentals... pun intended..3 to 5 yds every play..heck even played on Sundays... yes they get talent yet their feeder programs are some of the best around..imo
