Fall as fallen and we are already past the midpoint of our favorite season. Anyone have a clear cut favorite this year or is someone flying under the radar who should be getting alot more love? A QB from the cradle of quarterbacks in southern Indiana or dynamo RB from the donut? Is this the year we finally give an outstanding Lineman their due?

Yes, not just them yet others who may be on the cusp or lower tier in 6a enrollment stand no chance, putting the big boys in their own class could help. Homestead, warsaw, columbus north, zionsville, are a few without adding in Jeffersonville or Harrison. Heck even Carroll and westfield. SF could still be in place as well. Spreading the lower 16 into 5a would just create less parity as most of them would skate through the playoffs just as warsaw did last year. Not a shot at them either, just when a 6a school steps down to 5a, yes hardware should be won. And isnt the world a better place for it!? 😁

Been saying this for years, go to 7 classes, with the mega classes competing for hardware the first sectional contest. If you are a 7a program, you compete for titles from jump. Schedule has always been the sticking point. Move the first game on saturday to 9am and have the last matchup begin at 8p. More money and more communities at LOS.

Maybe its cyclical? Young teams are getting hammered by the vets of friday nights? To think a teams jv is still scoring points with a running clock is wild though! It does hurt a program when feeder schools are on the sidelines watching their team get the biz.. IMO coaches are not as humble with their play-calling either when up by a bunch. Either padding stats or trying for style points..either way is probably bad especially with schools opening up flag football.. Loved reading how the Penn program would ask the ref for penalties when up by 35.

I fondly remember coach k throwing for teddys then lighting up snider wr's on the next drive. He may have went 2-1 as a starter against those panthers.

Coach k proved me wrong..them losing to Snider gave me shaded glasses..I do usually roll with south calhoun though..let the cyo say "amen"

I work with a few Dwenger alum who thought they would win, I also believe we were split on the GID about this game.

Sac teams playing each other after an abysmal start n now they're tough..if they win half of those games then it would seem fair..besides 6a where 3/4 will be from the sac,how many sectional titles will be held up for the conference this year? East Noble also beat dwenger last year when no one thought they had a chance.

Chargers by 17- Dinan sticks it to his old team once again, could running clock the panthers yet feels bad for his old pals. Legends by 9- Way too many weapons for the knights to handle, even with coach K schematics, they just dont have the bodies to match up. Bruins by 35- Running clock, bowen allows his team to pad the stats this week. Archers by 8- a safety and td seperates these offenses and programs for that matter. Sparty by 3- They may have been looking forward to this game last week, hopefully their students will leave the bleachers alone this time as they move into the drivers seat for the victory bell.

I wonder the metrics they use..I wouldn't mind starting a rating service myself...

Eh, depending on what Dinan does. Bruins have seniors going on their last run, their offensive talent may win some hardware. I wouldnt be shocked if Bowen vs Dinan was the final...great for ratings..player vs coach. Sparty had them down yet we seen what they can do with that firepower. If they were to ever win a sectional, this would be the year. I can see them utilizing that OSU recruit in the backfield with the Luers transfer in the wildcat. Out number the D and run straight at em..Chargers losing to the saints while Roncalli pulled one out is not a gr8 look for 6a north..

I concur. Sadly for them, they wont make it out of regionals with one of their best teams in the past 2 decades.

If they could get across the 40 yard line, he might be the not so secret weapon if the defense could wrap up. Him as a sophmore just proves how special of a team is needed if a program wants to collect a blue ring.
