  1. Not even the best team in their own city (yes, I know they won the H2H)
  2. 6A: HSE vs Brownsburg 5A: Snider vs Bloomington South 4A: Kokomo vs EC 3A: Chatard vs Tri-West 2A: Luers vs TC 1A: AC vs Lutheran
  3. Fishers 35-13 Burg 38-28 HSE 31-24 FC 24-21
  4. They're starting A LOT of sophomores on both sides of the ball. 2024 and 2025 seasons will be theirs for the taking, but this year is a lot of growing pains.
  5. Plainfield 31-21 Whiteland 24-17 Perry 42-38 Franklin 28-24
  6. Fair. He definitely will have the opportunity to fill up the stat sheet against some of the competition they will play throughout conference play now, as well. I don't think I am taking EC over BD, Burg, or CG though.
  7. Who are some players in the running for Mr. Football currently? I know Garrett Sherrell for Brownsburg seems to be filling up the stat sheet against some of the best competition in the state. Through 5 games he has 129 carries for 1049 yards and 13 TDs. Averaging 8.1 yards a carry. To go along with 3 catches for 144 yards and 2 additional TDs. Thoughts?
  8. Plainfield has to get by Harrison (again) and most likely 1 of the 2 Bloomington schools. They're in a good position as of now, but would be underdogs against Bloomington South (according to Sagarin). Hope they can keep up the great season and keep winning 1 game at a time.
  9. I agree it's not the best conference, but someone has got to come out of 5A south this year Temp. I think the top 3-4 mid-state teams have more than a punchers chance vs the Bloomington schools.
  10. I would love to see some representation at LOS on Thanksgiving weekend from the Mid-State again. My assumption is one of Bloomington South, Bloomington North, Harrison, Plainfield, Whiteland, DC, Franklin, or Castle will be representing the 5A south. Any of those schools can beat the other on a given night.
  11. Plainfield 42-28 Franklin 31-10 Whiteland 28-24 DC 24-21
  12. You are right. I am really struggling reading Maxpreps schedules when I'm in a rush lol
  13. I'm not a huge follower of the SIAC but what has happened to Evansville Central in recent years? They were competing for conference titles it seemed like year in and year out and even a state title no so long ago. I don't understand such a dramatic drop off in such a short period of time.
  14. Will the IMG @ BD game be on IHSAATV.Org or will it be streamed/broadcasted elsewhere?
  15. Mooresville (1-2) @ Greenwood (3-0)- Greenwood turned some heads last week lighting up the scoreboard once again. The offense seems to be the real deal and the QB is putting teams on notice. I expect another high scoring performance in what should be Greenwood's toughest test to date. Greenwood 35-31 Martinsville (1-2) @ DC (2-1)- DC's sophomore D1 qb was hurt last week vs Whiteland. Unsure of his current status, but either way DC should be able to take this one. DC 31-13 Perry Merdian (1-2) @ Plainfield (3-0)- Plainfield should continue to roll this week with a big one in the waiting next week vs Whiteland. Although, Perry Merdian seems to have some fight in them this year and can upset a team who is not prepared. Plainfield 28-17 Whiteland (2-1) @ Franklin (2-1)- Whiteland places itself in the driver's seat of the conference after beating DC handily last week. Whiteland 31-21 Mid-State Power Rankings after week 3 1. Whiteland 2. Plainfield 3. DC 4. Franklin 5. Greenwood 6. Mooresville 7. Perry Meridan 8. Martinsville
  16. Week 4 Pick ‘Em Games 1. Hamilton Southeastern @ Fishers 2. New Albany @ Bedford North Lawrence 3. Anderson @ Marion 4. Greenfield-Central @ Pendleton Heights 5. Guerin Catholic @ Brebeuf Jesuit 6. Fort Wayne Luers @ Fort Wayne Wayne 7. Tri-West @ Western Boone 8. Heritage @ South Adams 9. North Judson @ Knox 10. Linton-Stockton @ Sullivan 11. Bremen @ Triton
  17. Greenwood (2-0) @ Martinsville (1-1)- Greenwood's offense gets a tougher test this week playing Martinsville. Greenwood 38-21 DC (2-0) @ Whiteland (1-1)- DCs win last week was surprising and a huge win for the Hawks. They have the talent to beat anyone, but I foresee the experience factor playing a role in a loss or two this season. Whiteland got beat by a very good Kokomo squad. This one could have some ramifications over deciding the eventual Mid-State champion. DC 24-21 Plainfield (2-0) @ Mooresville (1-1)- Plainfield gets a big win over #6 Harrison. They will likely see them again come sectional time. Plainfield 31-21 Franklin (1-1) @ Perry Meridan (1-1)- Franklin jumps out early and doesn't step off the brakes. Franklin 42-17 Power Rankings After Week 2 1. Plainfield 2. DC 3. Whiteland 4. Franklin 5. Greenwood/Mooresville 7. Martinsville 8. Perry Meridian
  18. 1.Cathedral @ Brownsburg 2. Homestead @ Noblesville 3. Roncalli @ Franklin Central 4. Harrison @ Plainfield 5. LaPorte @ Lowell 6. Evansville Mater Dei @ Castle 7. Culver Academy @ Mishawaka Marian 8. Franklin County @ Connersville 9. Brownstown Central @ Charlestown 10. Owen Valley @ South Putnam 11. North Decatur @ Eastern Hancock
  19. My mistake. Misread on Maxpreps. Correction Greenwood @ IC- Should be a shootout. Greenwood 38-31 Martinsville @ BS- BS looks to be a legit contender for 5A this year. BS 42-17
  20. Franklin @ Mt. Vernon- Good test for the Cubs after the week 1 bye. Franklin 24-17 Perry @ Southport- Chance for Perry to get in the win column. Southport looking for its first win in over 2 years. Perry 31-14 Harrison @ Plainfield- Harrison looks to get revenge for last year's sectional matchup. Plainfield 24-21 New Pal @ DC- New Pal will be too much to handle for the inexperienced Hawks. New Pal 35-17 Greenwood @ Martinsville- Greenwood QB #s were eye popping last week. He will be throwing the ball a lot to keep them in games. Martinsville 35-24 Kokomo @ Whiteland- Should be a solid game. Whiteland will prevail in the end. 24-10 Mooresville @ Danville- Mooresville looks to rebound. Mooresville 28-17
  21. 1. FW Carroll @ Hamilton Southeastern 2. Lawrence North @ Avon 4. Warsaw @ Michigan City 5. New Palestine @ Westfield 5. Chesterton @ Hobart 6. Leo @ Kokomo 7. Jasper @ Evansville Memorial 8. Western @ Tri-West 9. FW Concordia @ Indianapolis Scecina 10. Perry Central @ Tell City 11. Tecumseh @ South Spencer
