  1. I think if the SIAC wants to be represented well and have a better shot of advancing through the playoffs Central needs to win this one, which I believe they do. Central is rolling right now. Central 35-21
  2. I thought Mooresville would've been in a tightly contested game with an eventual win before COVID. I think EC is outmatched now. Mooresville 31-21
  3. Conspiracy theory lol. Maybe with no CG fans they can keep the game within 5 TD's...
  4. Mooresville has 2 OL who are committed to play at Purdue and the rest of their line is fairly large (not 100% sure but would be willing to say they average around 6'2 280 for their OL). Their QB is a sophomore but a very good athlete (also is 6'2 210). I think they are going to give any team they face this season troubles and are going to be a tough out. Hoping to see Gillin make the run to Thanksgiving weekend and to see the Mid-State represented well!
  5. Pretty cool breakdown. Thanks for taking the time to put this together
  6. USA Today #14 vs #25 https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/highschool/2020/10/13/high-school-football-national-rankings-super-25-oct-13-2020/5925735002/
  7. 31-8 on my picks for the year. 3 way tie for conference champions between DC, Whiteland, and Mooresville. Greenwood (4-4) @ Whiteland (7-1)- Surprising big win for Greenwood last week over Franklin. Don't think they'll have enough fire power to hang with Whiteland. Whiteland 35-14 Plainfield (4-4) @ Martinsville (3-5)- Plainfield 35-21 DC (6-2) @ Franklin (3-5)- DC too much to handle. 42-14 Perry (0-8) @ Mooresville (7-1)- Mooresville 56-7 Looking at sectionals it appears Whiteland and Mooresville will be the 2 teams with a possibility of making a run in the tourney. Both Plainfield and DC are stuck in Cathedral's sectional with little hope of making it out. Whiteland is the Sagarin favorite to make it out of sectional 14 though it won't be easy with New Pal looming. Then they would get Cathedral in regionals. Mooresville will get to host East Central week 2 of sectionals giving them the edge. IF they can make it past EC they will have a tough regional vs most likely Jasper or Evansville Central and then a semi-state matchup vs either Roncalli or Mt. Vernon. All speculation. Guess that's why we don't determine a winner until it's played out on Friday night. Would love to see Mooresville and Coach Gillin represent the Mid-State at LOS on Thanksgiving weekend. Good luck to all!
  8. Anticipating the week 8 poll to come out on Wednesday and @captainobvious to once again be disappointed 😂. Eastbrook #1 in the state of Indiana regardless of class or he's not happy!
  9. Very well could be. My pick is Mooresville vs Mt. Vernon, but I’ve been wrong before.
  10. I hope you're wrong on this one. A Brownsburg vs CG matchup is what I have been looking forward to this year.
  11. Just curious what teams are up for possible reclassifications next season due to success factor. I saw that Chatard would bump up to 4A with a regional title this year.
  12. 28-7 on my picks for the year. Now a 3 way tie for conference champions between DC, Whiteland, and Mooresville. Martinsville (3-4) @ Mooresville (6-1)- Mooresville bounces back. 42-14 Whiteland (6-1) @ Plainfield (4-3)- Whiteland in a close one. 35-28 Guerin Catholic (2-3) @ DC (5-2)- DC 35-14 Franklin (3-4) @ Greenwood (3-4)- 28-27 Franklin Perry has no game scheduled currently Power Rankings Week 7 1. Mooresville 2.Whiteland 3. DC 4. Plainfield 5. Franklin 6. Greenwood 7. Martinsville 8. Perry
  13. With some of your comments on here it almost seems like you're trolling the board. Obviously, that quote was a joke. If Mt. Vernon goes on to win the conference for the next 5 years and continues to attract talent you'll be saying the same thing about them. This all goes back to the basic facts. Parents want their children in a good school system. Having a good coach/team that they can play for is a positive...that most likely is not the root of their decision. At the end of the day you can not control this decision to "block" the students from going to the school if the parents physically move there. You can go to many conferences where the same school wins a majority of the time. That doesn't mean all the other schools still aren't competing. I don't get your logic in wanting contraction of all these schools and conference realignments anytime something isn't going right for some schools. At the end of the day this is HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL and the lessons the kids take from it are more important than most other things they will do in life leading up to turning 18. Just aggravated in your attitude on this board at times. I know I can go read something else. Just my two cents.
  14. Contraction of all the HHC schools besides New Pal is the only answer
  15. Carmel by 10 CG by as many as they want. LN by 3 NC by 28
  16. I would assume Mt. Vernon has gotten some pretty good move ins since Kirschner has taken the HC job. Kids/Parents are always going to go to 1. Good school systems 2. Somewhere they feel they can win/get some college attention (if they're good enough). It's inevitable. I don't think a move from Muncie to Indy is that far fetched of an idea. You seem overly invested in this...
  17. I think it will be a close one. Last week was the trap game, I thought, after coming off a big win vs DC. I wouldn't be surprised to see Whiteland pull one out against them though.
  18. 25-6 on my picks for the year. Mooresville (6-0) @ Whiteland (5-1) - Mooresville looks to clinch at least a share (most likely outright) of the Mid-State title this week with Martinsville and Perry being left in the schedule. Mooresville 35-24 Perry (0-6) @ Martinsville (2-4)- Best chance for Perry to get in the win column for the year. Martinsville 28-17 Greenwood (3-3) @ DC (4-2)- DC 35-14 Plainfield (3-3) @ Franklin (3-3)- Should be a tightly contested game that will come down to who turns the ball over less. Plainfield 28-24 Power Rankings Week 6 1. Mooresville 2. DC 3. Whiteland T4. Plainfield T4. Franklin 6. Greenwood 7. Martinsville 8. Perry
  19. IFCA poll didn't seem to think so either. Polls at the end of the day are opinions. Always people who won't be pleased. Eastbrook seems to be about where they belong according to Sagrin ratings. Pioneer 1 is a little out there.
