I need more Wolf howl. Enough with the Sheridan’s talk...they have been eliminated in another sectional. The entire game comes down to if South Putnams can match the Wolfs score for score. If they can, then they will have a great chance to win. If they can’t, then the Wolfs will win by a few scores. I really think it’s that simple.

Like I said earlier, I hope the game ends in a tie. However, I don’t think physicality affects the Wolfs offense....their defense, that may be a different story. Time will tell.

I don’t think I ever said South Putnams played no good opponents? HC is no better than the D1’s. I would bet the D1’s have the best player between the two. The Wolfs are a juggernaut and have the exact scenario I’ve been toad they want....to play a team that is not familiar with them. It is put up or shut up time for the Wolfs....and I am taking the Wolfs....because there is no way they can lose another big game. The odds are with them and so is the talent/coaching.

FYI—-I am not a Wolfs fan. If you have read through any of the WRC threads you would know that. But I may become a fan of the juggernaut for one week this season! I don’t think I ever disrespected the South Putnams or their coach. I just stated facts. I will now change my prediction to Wolfs 86, South Putnams 28.

I can just tell by what I read. The Wolfs are coached by a hall of famer who has won over 200 games. The South Putnams are not. The Wolfs will have at least the 2 best players on the field. South Putnams are not as good offensively as the D1’s were/are. That is why the D1’s were able to beat the Wolfs...because they could match them score for score. Personally, I hope the game ends in a tie, but that is not possible. So I am going with the hall of famer and the juggernaut offense. It is extremely to the Wolfs’ advantage that the South Putnams have never seen them.

Wolfs 72, South Putnams 36. This is a classic case of 1 team not taking the other seriously. The Wolfs will be the best team and offense that the South Putnams have faced all season. And when the South Putnams can’t stop them panic will set in. And let’s not even start the debate on the coaching advantage.

Hey CheapSeats, any truth to the rumor that the D1 Touchdown Club has fireworks on sale for 50% off? They may want to get ahold of the Wolfs....I’m sure they’ll use them in celebration if they can beat SP.

The Wolfs will score on every possession....nobody stops them. It will come down to if they can stop SP or not. Definitely will be a shoot out type of game.

I said I’d give them credit if they played this week, I did. They couldn’t cancel and try to reschedule with someone else this week.

I almost passed out when I saw this score! How can the vaunted D1’s with all of their talent lose to a WRC team? Wasn’t this supposed to be a historic sectional run for the D1’s? Or maybe, just maybe, the one real D1 athlete on the field beat the wanna be D1’s?

Yeah, I don’t like the public announcement of canceling and then being back in. First announcement probably should’ve been “canceled, pending Covid test results.” But I’m also going to guess that a whole bunch of parents got involved and were not going to allow their kids’ season to be over. My guess is this won’t be the only time this happens in the next 6 weeks!

I’m sure this will ruffle up some feathers, but I want a logical answer to this. Rambler Dan was ok to play on Oct. 9 but then had to cancel on Oct. 16 due to Covid. How on earth can they be able to play on Oct. 23?

The Wolfs haven’t limited spectators all year have they? They must really be feeling the heat if they are putting athletes in a bubble and limiting spectators.

I heard through the grapevine that the Wolfs are giving special treatment to their athletes this week in school in regards to Covid. Sounds like they’re putting them in a bubble and saying the heck with all of the non-athletes in the building.

This week could prove to be one of the craziest weeks ever in the WRC. You had all 3 Fountain County schools cancel football games scheduled for last week. FC cancels out of cross country regional and volleyball sectional. In the same county, Covington (even though their superintendent sent out a memo basically suspending all sports until further notice) go ahead and participate in the cross country regional and volleyball sectional. Rambler Dan (same county) played volleyball Saturday. Herbies (same health dept. as Fountain County) went on with business as usual. NV and the D1’s appeared to be the same, but the D1’s missed a football game to no fault of their own. And then in Parke County you have RP who has announced going back to school on elearning, canceling out of their volleyball sectional, not playing football, but allowing their cross country runners to run in the regional. I heard the Wolfs were going back to school this week like normal. I think they played everything business as usual last week outside of their football game with FC. So what happens this week? Are we seeing a prime case of the haves and have nots playing out? Will everyone play football? Can 1 county school basically shut down while the other school goes on business as normal? Can the D1’s, NV’s, Herbies go on while their neighbors try to pull the plug? Does someone bring up title 9 if a school doesn’t play in volleyball sectional yet plays in football sectional? Buckle up, sit back, and enjoy this crazy week in the WRC!

Will Attica, Covington, and Fountain Central even be able to play next week in the sectional? I don’t see how any of them can at this point.
