Sorry for double post! Every team in SV’s sectional (minus Covid victims Seeger and Southmont) lost last weekend. It appears the Mildcats are headed for quite a magical season. All roads lead to the Luke for SV.

Not to be a smart a$$, but the mighty SV Mildcats won 2 sectional games last year....without the services of one of their D1 studs. You have to go back to 2004 (I think) to find the Mildcats beating someone not named Cascade or Seeger in a sectional game?

Already posted predictions, but I will update now. SV 72, NV 6- the D1 talent will be too much to overcome for the Falcons. Rumor has it that a few power 5 coaches will be in attendance for this game?? Wolfs 78, Covington 6- rumor is that the Wolfs petitioned the WRC to play flag football this fall...but they were denied. Wolfs are hungry and want to send a message to all against an inferior team. Attica 10, Tri-County 8. Ramblers win by scoring 5 safeties against the Caviliers’ 4 safeties. Attica has tough kids. Seeger 32, Twin Lakes 16. Covid 19 can’t even stop the Herbie Express.

Real games in the WRC: 1). NV-SV....until SV beats them this has to be in the conversation 2). Seeger-SV 3). NV-Seeger 4). NV-Wolfs 5). SV-Wolfs *there would be a 6th if Seeger-Wolfs didn’t get cancelled

SV 58, NV 6....too much talent in southern Vermillion County. They are gunning for a 2a state title. TC 24, Attica 16...Ramblers will continue to fight and compete until they get down under 11 players. Tough kids. RP Navy 42, RP Burgandy 6....Panthers can claim their 1st dub of the season winning their intrasquad scrimmage game. PH 60, Covington 0...Wolfs rested up last week and didn’t get anyone hurt and didn’t take a loss. They will be ready to flex their muscle against an inferior team. **Wouldnt it be impossible (unless both teams get a cancellation on the same week) for Seeger and the Wolfs to make their game up????

Can we assume that after Friday, Covington is weak enough that unless the Trojans or Wolfs come down with Covid the Wolfs will actually play a game?

Dang. Who made the call...the HOF coach or the AD? I call bs on the Wolfs for all of this. I thought they expected better of themselves??

That’s shocking. I feel sorry for Franklin County, they lost 2 games in 1 week totally out of their control. I would think the IHSAA should step in on something like this?

It is being reported on the EiAC thread that the Wolfs backed out of the Franklin County game due to not thinking they could win and fear of some of their players getting hurt. If that’s the case...WOW!

The more I think about this the more I scratch my head. Did the Wolfs actually admit this or is this purely rumor/speculation? I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of a team backing out from a game because they didn’t think they could win or were afraid of getting hurt? Aren’t we talking about a varsity football game and not youth league football? That doesn’t sound like very big big-boy pants to me. What message does that send to the players if that is truly the case?

Pretty sure Seeger had the Covid case, not the Wolfs. The Wolfs has rescheduled a game with Franklin County but then canceled the next day. Sounds like lots of shady stuff going on in Parke County. Could be the side effects of no Covered Bridge Festival?

I can’t imagine the Wolfs being afraid of an average 3a team?

I hope RP gets to play one WRC game, wins it, and can be either champions or co-champions by being undefeated in conference play.

SV is allowing 50% capacity. Which means they are letting everyone in.

Why are the Wolfs not playing a week 1 game? Do they have Covid issues like some others? I would think a team that loaded with talent would want to play a game against almost anyone.

I’m wondering the same thing. Something doesn’t add up here?

You may want to retract that statement given what I just saw on twitter concerning the Wolfs rescheduled game.

Were the Wolfs scared of the Herbies?

The Wolfs and the Herbie’s do not have “power 5” nor D1 (for that matter) talent. SV should walk the dog in the WRC this year. Multiple D1 guys on the same team makes this SV team the most talented ever in the WRC.

SV has a QB that is getting interest from “power 5” schools and many other studs around him. Potential 2a title dark horse in the making in southern Vermillion county. The TH paper says the Wolfs have 2 QB’s that are top notch. They may score 100 in a game this season.

Any poll that has Attica and Eastern Greene receiving rating points should be taken with a grain of salt.

We’ll see what you have to say tomorrow after the Governor speaks??
