Tigers looked sharp tonight.  Fisher was on his game.

He may had 2 or 3 incompletions, but definitely over 300 passing yards. Also, his run game has improved significantly compared to last year. The whole team looked very good on all fronts, glad we got some starters back.

Took 'em to the woodshed tonight. Tigers looked good. Big matchup looming in a few weeks with Reitz. Hopefully both are undefeated because Enlow will be rockin'...

Congrats to the Tigers who indeed "took the Cats to the woodshed", esp with their passing game.  QB (Fisher?) reminds me of former Tiger QB Lindauer with his arm & accuracy.  MD simply had no answer for the Tigers' passing game last night.  Time to turn the page and keep working to get better.

He is very similar to Lindauer IMO. Very even-keeled leader. I was a little surprised Mallory didn't run more. He is slippery.

Speaking of Lindauer and Fisher, I’m surprised more HS coaches don’t teach their QBs how to punt - and give them the option not to on some 4th downs.

That dual threat can really affect the game.

Hurely & his staff obviously saw something on film that indicated MD was soft/vulnerable on punt coverage.  The first time was a surprise but the second time was pure athleticism on the part of Fisher.  There were 4-5 defenders with a chance to bring him down short of the line to gain but he was able to elude them.  IMO, those 2 plays were HUGE turning pts in the game.  If MD gets off the field, esp with the first one, Tigers lose the momentum and perhaps the game goes a little differenty.  Then again, maybe it just ends up being a bit closer score.  Lots to work on for MD this week.

I think they give Fisher the option on some 4th downs.  So I believe those fakes were both his choice after reading the defense.

I remember when they were teaching him how to punt his freshman year.  Having a QB handle the punting, if he’s able to, gives a huge advantage.

Hurley has given Fish the green light to run it whenever he thinks he can get it, so it isn't being called from the sideline. The first one against MD was pretty clear, but on the second one I was definitely doing the "No, no, no...YES" thing. He is deceptively elusive, which helps. It will be interesting to see how teams respond going forward. I also believe there are a few more wrinkles that have yet to be shown. In any event, there's no question it is a huge weapon and I agree, it completely changed the complexion of the game.
