Is it true that Reitz QB Davies broke his collarbone and the backup QB tore his ACL?  They are down to their third string now…

They played their starting Kicker/Punter as QB for the Central game. But that’s about it from me, other than what Transplated said during the North game. Since both went down midway through the game.

Man, if that’s true, that’s terrible.  You just hate that for these kids.  You only get one, 4-year shot at HS sports and they put in so much work for it.

Hopefully the injuries aren’t this bad and they can get back out there.

The Reitz show is on WREF today at 4:20, so maybe we'll hear something about whether Reitz is at full strength or not. That game at the Bowl is GOTW. It seems Castle has its ground game going so if Reitz is thin at QB, I'd expect Castle to come out with the W. I'll take MD over North by 17 and Lincoln over Harrison by 24. The other 2 will be blow-outs.

A note for Tiger fans, although this is a home game for Memorial, we will be sitting on the visitor's side (where our team sideline will be).

Bring your rain coats, going to be a rainy night.

Coach Brunson was pretty tight-lipped. He didn't say either player would or would not be playing.

It doesn't look good at this point.

Not even going to try to predict scores with the weather forecast so I'll just pick winners.

Harrison at Vincennes - The Alices have a new weapon at QB and should win this one fairly easily. Harrison may score a few times though.

Mater Dei at North - I expect this one to be low scoring with MD coming out on top.

Jasper at Central - The Bears will be hungry for the upset here but don't think they will be able to stop the Jasper rushing attack.

Bosse at Memorial - The Tigers win with a running clock and set up a potential undefeated showdown with Reitz next week.

GAME OF THE WEEK:

Castle at Reitz - It sounds like this is the year for Reitz to deal with the injury bug. Already having two QBs injured and slot receiver out rest of season, additionally it sounds like now their MLB will be out a while. I think they're still good enough to beat Castle but don't think they beat Memorial.

If the weather is as bad as they’re saying it will be, it wouldn’t surprise me to see games postponed.

It’s possible but haven’t seen any lightning in the forecast. I’d be surprised if they postpone due to wind or rain unless it’s a grass field already in rough shape. Also the Saturday forecast doesn’t look much better. Gonna be ugly and sloppy but there will be football played!

As of now, it’s just rain and it appears we will be under a wind advisory too.

Memorial has rescheduled its homecoming to next week during the game against FJ Reitz. Will make for a huge crowd, plus no BS about having to sit on the visitor's side...

Next Friday is supposed to be nicer anyways, should be a great night of football!
