Fishers @ Avon:  Starting to seem like the Pike loss was an anomaly as the Tigers showed pride and had Brownsburg on the ropes last week.  Avon, whose win over BD is looking less and less impressive with each passing week, simply seems outmanned in this brutal league.  Fishers rolls 27-14.

Franklin Central @ Noblesville:  Had higher expectations for both of these teams this season.  Not surprised they are not in the top half/tier, but just surprised it seems that there is still a significant gap after that top tier.  I will take the Millers at home.  Noblesville wins 24-13.

Westfield @ Brownsburg:  The biggie.  Both of these teams are battle tested and worthy of their ranking.  Last season, Brownsburg rolled into Westfield in a much anticipated matchup and dominated in a game that was over by halftime.  Westfield in an upset here.  'Rocks win a thriller 27-24.

Zionsville @ Hamilton Southeastern:  Worried about the outlook for Zionsville after the opening season loss to Pike...but then saw what Pike was capable of.  The Eagles can keep this one close, but this is the case of a team wanting to be above .500 at the end of the year (Zionsville) and a team with state title aspirations (HSE).  Royals win 37-21.

Agree with your picks, except, yes, the Westfield at Brownsburg game. The "Burg has had Westfield's number for most of their time in the HCC. Hoping I'm wrong, but this game is at their place. Brownsburg 31 - Westfield 20

Nothing more than a whim honestly.  I’ll own it Saturday morning if I am wrong.

Westfield had to clear the Carmel hurdle last year and the Brownsburg one is next…just a matter of when.

They have the state’s best win thus far, the week 1 road win over CG…they will not be intimidated by the environment if I had to guess.

John Hart is 6-2 against the Rocks.

I was way off last week. I will say for probably the 150th time in this topic that Noblesville has to figure out how to throw the ball. The run offense is Elite. Just find a f'n balance that works. A 6A team shouldn't look ridiculous when they're trying to go 60'ish yards in 35 seconds to send the game to OT.

  • FIshers @ Avon: I don't get it. I keep looking at the Pike game and thinking it's a sign that Fishers isn't elite. Maybe it was just a fluke. I fully expented Brownsburg to win comfortably. I'll take the Tigers over the Orioles by 17.
  • Franklin Central @ Noblesville: Perfect bounceback game for Noblesville. FC hits the busses again to come up to Hamilton County. Not been working out well for them lately. Millers by 6.
  • Westfield @ Brownsburg: Should be a great atmosphere. Big stadium with no track around the field and Brownsburg fans fill it up. 'Dogs by 7.
  • Zionsvile @ HSE: Royals get back in the win column. Zionsville will put up a fight but the Royals will pull away for a 17 point win.

Actually they cleared the Carmel hurdle two years ago, both that game and last year's sectional games were at Carmel. Guess we shall see on Friday!
