4 Weeks away from my favorite time of the year. Looking for a good year from Snider. Not a big fan of their OOC games, think they need to get (2) Indy area teams on their schedule, or (1) at a minimum, then maybe a Penn, Elkhart or a top team from Toledo or Michigan area.

I'm not up to speed on what they are brining back from last year or are there any transfers. If any of the Snider folks on here can give me a summary, I would appreciated that.

Here is what I see Snider having for 2025:

Running backs are as deep as we have seen in a long time. There is speed and a basher. Receiving core is good. QB is fast and a running threat, will need to become a threat throwing the ball. Key will be line play. If it is good, watch out.

Defense has a chance to be really good. I think the line will be really good, key will be the secondary.

Special teams should be pretty good. Excellent kicker and lots of speed in the return game.

I think this team is flying under the radar right now. While I am not a fan of their first 2 games, Warsaw and East Noble, maybe it benefits them this year. I think there are a few SAC teams thinking this is the year to beat Snider, we shall see.

Do they have many transfers this year, or are they built and not bought?

No answer to that.

I think Snider picks their out of conference games strategically. Best to see a Warsaw team early in the season rather than get blindsided in the playoffs.............2022.......Mishawaka 21, Snider 0......midway second quarter.

I agree with Komets, I think this team has some potential. They have a pretty good TE and return 4 of 5 linemen among everything else Komets said. While these guys aren't huge, they are experienced.

I like the quote from the coaches I've heard in years past............"could be good, could be bad, all depends on the senior class." I thought Snider would have been good in 2020 with two D1 offensive linemen...........time will tell.

I'll ask my buddy about that. He has expressed already that the rb room is talented with the incoming sophmore looking to be one of the best they've had in awhile. I was quick to remind him as well as others before we go comparing them to that 04 class, let us remember the starter ran a 4.4 and 4 other kids ran sub 11 100m dashes while the 2nd leading rusher was none of them. They will have their chances though.

I believe I said "deepest since 2004." That may or may not be the case, I just know they are pretty good. The 2004 team was deep, more than likely a broken ankle away from a state title that year.

Max Preps does not have the roster for this year yet, but from last year’s Max Preps roster there were 28 juniors listed so if they are all playing this year that would be a big senior class

He was one of the leading rushers in the nation while at Ball State, yes a healthy 04 squad would have had a shot. That WC team had D1 talent in their backfield as well, would have been close(r).

A shot? Closer? Nah, take it to the bank. WC still needed some lucky bounces to pull that one out..........even with Lewis on the sideline. I remember that game like it was yesterday. But hey, you have your opinion.

Lewis was a projected draft project his junior season. He should have made the leap before losing his entire line for his senior year.

Enough of that, back to 2025. They'll be fun to watch, but 6A is an uphill battle................as highly ranked Decatur Central is about to find out.

Alright, what a disastrous start for Snider. The offense has struggled and the passing game is abysmal. Run defense is terrible and special teams are pretty bad as well. This is the worst Panther team in a long time…

Its a long season, hopefully they'll recover. Planning to actually make it to a game this year

Snider was tied with Warsaw with 4 minutes to go, not a shameful loss, but giving up 480 rushing yards is awful. East Noble kicked the snot out of the Panthers and while the Knights are a very good 4A team, Snider losing to them the way they did is a bad look for the Panthers. Beating Luers 9-0 with 3 field goals is not a good look either.

Thought maybe Snider's OL would push some people around this season with 4/5 returning starters. Not so much. Could be on the verge of their first losing season 1989. Every team on their schedule other than Wayne has the personnel to beat them. Who knows though, maybe they'll get better each week and surprise everyone.

Luers is gonna frustrate every offense they play this year. They might go 2-7 but I also think that front 7 on defense is going to take them deep into the 3A tournament. If the young offense could put some points on the board...

Is Snider's QB getting the job done? I have missed most of the games, so just wondering. I agree, from the limited looks at replays the D is very suspect against the run, probably the pass too.

Nobody has really had to pass the ball against Snider. Snider is very undersized on the line this year and it shows. They are getting bullied, not something we are used to seeing. As far as Luers goes, defense is really good, offense is putrid. Not sure they are going to make noise come tourney time with that offense
