NJ better bring their A game against LaVille or they will be going home early for the first time since 2020. 52-12 Sandbagging 101. 1 Quote

LaVille coming in playing some good ball after being battle tested in a 3a conference all season long. Judson beat them by 1 score in week 2 but it's been a long time since then. I have all the faith in the world in Lambert to have the boys prepared and ready to play but kids are kids... Maybe the Pioneer butt kicking last week will be a good reminder they have to come out ready to play from the jump. Quote

HNAC has a realistic shot of having 3 sectional champions this year. I've got LaVille, Judson, Pioneer, Carroll, NM and Triton all winning comfortably this week. I think next week will really test a couple of the 4 remaining HNAC teams. LaVille and Fremont will challenge the Jays and the Trojans. Pioneer shouldn't have too much trouble with Frontier, but if the Falcons want to prove they are legit, beating Pioneer would do it! North Miami will cruise into the sectional final. Quote

FarmerFran Posted October 23, 2025 Author Posted October 23, 2025 Laville at Culver: Gimme the lancers as they begin prep for next week's matchup against the Blue Jays. NJSP at SCUM: Jays come out firing in a game where they can keep their dinged up players out to heal up for the Lancers. Carroll at Winamac: Cougars get a running clock by half. North Miami at Northfield: Warriors win this one handily. Southern Wells at Triton: Trojans get up big early and cruise into the semifinals. Pioneer at Caston: Hopefully the Panthers stay focused on the comets and dont have a repeat of last year's sectional game where Caston took it to them some. I look for the Panthers to win this and set up a top 5 ranked matchup with Frontier next week. 1 Quote

Laville at North judson- Glad this game is at NJ, weird things tend to happen when played at LaVille. Judson better bring their A game because LaVille may be one of the hottest teams in 1A right now. Still think the jays win. 24-14 Frontier at Pioneer- #2 vs #3. Could be a big game but i think Pioneer wins this by 3ish scores. It's impressive what Coach Barron has done there at Frontier but tthey don't have teams like Pioneer in the MWC. 49-21 Southwood at North Miami- NM should win this one. Southwood could make it a game for a bit but NM pulls away shortly after half. 28-7 Triton at Fremont- Fremont has lost to anyone wiht a decent record so their record is a little misleading. As long as the Trojans don't spend too much on next weeks prep they should win easily. 31-7 Quote
FarmerFran Posted October 29, 2025 Author Posted October 29, 2025 Laville at North Judson- Sectional 41 Championship game in my opinion. I think this is close for a bit, but Judson will pull away in the second half. Frontier at Pioneer- Frontier is # 1 in scoring average in 1A, # 6 in points allowed and # 2 in average margin of victory. That is impressive regardless of schedule. You still have to go out and perform every week. Offensively they mix it up from week to week and are very well balanced between throwing and passing and spread the ball around well to their receivers. This game has all of the makings of an instant classic and will come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes. For the Panthers to win, they are going to have to play disciplined defense and control the ball on offense. Gimme the Panthers in a close one. Southwood at North Miami- I think the warriors run away with this one early. Triton at Fremont- Trojans win this one setting up a smash mouth HNAC affair for the sectional championship next week. FinePrint Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 (edited) I don't think that Pioneer game will be close at all. Sagarin has Pioneer, Judson, NM, Triton, LaVille and even Fremont rated higher than Frontier. There is literally only 1 team in the State of Indiana that played an easier schedule than Frontier. Pioneer will score on their first 5 possessions and roll to the win. North Judson may have a little trouble with LaVille, but playing at home will help and they'll win by a couple scores. North Miami will roll over Southwood. Fremont will hang with Triton through the 1st half, but Overmyer and the Trojans will wear them down in the 2nd half and win by 3 scores. Overmyer set the Triton single season rushing mark last week and hopefully has at least a couple games to add to the total. Edited October 29, 2025 by FinePrint Quote

Frontier has very good team, this will be tough game. NJ wins easily NMiami wins easily Triton wins easily. Quote
TightEndOpenAgain Posted October 31, 2025 Posted October 31, 2025 HNAC shines this week! Give me: Jays over Laville 28-20 Panthers 48-8 over Frontier. More about Pioneer than how good Frontier is or isn’t. I think they’re getting better every week. North Miami over Southwood Triton over Fremont 34-14 Quote

But they haven't seen an offense like Pioneer's. It's a smooth running machine at this point in the season. Frontier's closest game of the year was handing West Central their only loss, who - by the way - has the 312th ranked schedule in the state. Just one better than the Falcons. This game will be kind of like that 2018 state final where everyone from the south was saying North Vermillion would give Pioneer a run for their money, then watched them get plastered 60-0. Sagarin's predictor rating has the Panthers favored by 38. I think that sounds about right. Quote
Bobref Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 LaVille gets out to a big lead, and then hangs on to beat North Judson, 24-22. A wild finish! Quote
LB45321 Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 Too many people sleeping on LaVille….they have not been paying attention to what that team has been doing for the last month. They’re battle tested after the grind they faced in the physical INSC week in and week out. That’s a really good team. Judson did a great job getting back into that game, but going down 24-0 was too much to overcome. Quote
RingLeader Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 Nobody is sleeping on the Lancers always formidable Pioneer had some question marks and has steadily improved all season. they’d love to have that 3rd quarter back against Knox, but that game did answer some questions and they grew from it. Pioneer has four backs who can strike from anywhere on the field, and their defense is stifling, particularly vs the run. They also have a strong kicking game. 3 needed big elements at this time of year. Quote
RingLeader Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Nobody is good enough to sleep on anyone. 1A as wide open as it has ever been from what I see. Quote
from_the_sidelines007 Posted November 3, 2025 Posted November 3, 2025 Tough for most teams to win with 6 turnovers ... NJ not any different. Credit to the Blue Jays for fighting back. Jays had a chance to tie on the 2pter ... and win on a 42 field goal. LaVille took advantage of early turnovers and scored in taking a 24-0 lead. as always, the game is better from_the_sidelines007 Quote
