Round 1: Notre Dame Battles Sooners for 7pt Win in Norman

Round 2: Injury Plagued Defensive Line gets Hammered by Notre Dame Run Game: Irish Advance

Round 3: Texas Tech's Valiant Effort Comes up Short: Notre Dame Returns to Title Game for Rematch with Ohio State (next year would have been three years in a row)

Championship: Defense Shines as Carr and Love Propel Irish to National Title: Statue to be Erected in Freeman's honor

Sidenote: Miami is playing with a chip on their shoulder. Nothing would surprise me with this team. Very deserving of a playoff bid. Alabama, ESPN, and the SEC are a farce.

You are beating this horse to death. 0-2 vs. CFP teams, one win (USC) vs. Top 25, no other credible win. Nothing about the Irish screams national title team

This has surpassed the comical stage at this point.

What would have happened if Notre Dame....

Simply beat Miami?

Or Texas A&M at home?

Played in a conference perhaps?

Didn't play a dog**** schedule the last 2.5 months out of the year?

Or if the SEC wasn't in bed with ESPN?

Miami was the last at-large team in the field. Notre Dame lost to Miami on the field. That's why Notre Dame isn't in the playoff.

Acceptance is the 5th and final stage, you're almost there.

If I were a betting man , I would Bet that this years National champion has at least 1 loss .

Wrong, Notre Dame isn't there because of Bama . The fix was done the week prior when they barely beat a bad Auburn team and jumped in front of ND . It was done to protect Bama at all costs . Why do people keep mentioning Miami ? Fact is , Miami and ND should be there .

No. Bama is the 9 seed, Miami the 10 seed. Miami is the last at-large team in the field. Miami jumped Notre Dame after BYU lost because there was now no buffer between the two.

I agree, Alabama should not be in the CFP. Rather have seen the Irish in over the Tide. But, the Irish best nobody and left themselves vulnerable. 3 losses

When Alabama barely beat a bad Auburn team , they were ranked #10 in the CFP , with Notre Dame #9 . They flip flopped Notre Dame and Alabama after that game , this was the fix . Then when Bama got boat raced by Georgia , they did not move. Notre Dame should of stayed at #9 all along and Bama should of dropped out completely after their 3rd loss . People can say what they want , but ND never lost to an unranked team all year . Both Bama and Miami did .

Bama has arguably the best win in the country (at Georgia) and their 2nd best win is better than any win on Notre Dame's schedule, not to mention their SOR and SOS are all better than ND's. Bama's 3rd loss came in the conference championship game....Notre Dame doesn't even play in a conference.

Eh, I think the best 2 wins in the country are at Oregon and Ohio State. I would much rather play Georgia than Ohio State or Oregon

It’s arguably one of the best. It’s better than any win ND or Miami has. Bama’s resume is better than Miami’s and Miami beat ND head to head to secure the last at-large spot. Way too many butthurt ND fans over looking this aspect.

They might have a better win , but they sure as shit have a much worse loss as well . Bama got mud stomped by a 5-7 FSU . Bama does not belong in the playoff period . They haven't looked good for the last 5 weeks .

We as fans and the media seen the improvements ND made from games 1 & 2 to game 5 and beyond . Game one vs Miami freshman QB making his first college start and a brand new DC in his first game at ND . It took Miami a Circus catch for a TD and a last second FG to beat us in Miami . Just look at game 5 for ND.

Notre Dame - 56 Ark - 13  ( IN Feyetville )

Tenn- 34   Ark- 31

A&M -45    Ark - 42

Auburn-33 Ark - 24

Miss St-38 Ark - 35

LSU - 23    Ark - 22

Texas - 52 - Ark - 37

Missu - 31    Ark - 17

ND's win over the Razorbacks is  much more impressive than any of these 7 SEC schools .

Didn't Notre Dame get in the playoff after losing to NIU last year?

NIU...let that sink in.

Got better because you played one team of consequence from week 3 on.

But it was their only loss in the regular season . Had they had two losses last year , they would not of got in .

It's very hard to go 12-0 in the regular season this day and age in college football .

That's why more than half the SEC struggled with Arkansas , LOL
