How much improvement would we be giving Bama credit for if they had this murderer’s row down the stretch?

@ Boston College

vs Navy

@ Pitt

vs Syracuse

Stanford

Notre Dame didn’t beat anyone.  This isn’t hard.

Spin it how you want Temp. You know ND is top five, you're just here to ruffle feathers.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Top five but didn’t beat anyone.

I'll admit that their final games weren't exactly murderer's row. Many were touting Pittsburgh, a Top 25 team at the time, a pretty good team until Notre Dame waxed them. But that happens every year. USC is pretty good..........Notre Dame waxes them.....guess not. At the start of the season, there's normally a few Top 25 teams on their schedule until Notre Dame knocks them out.

At the end of the day, the committee put a lot of emphasis on the eye test...............until the final ranking. Everyone knows Notre Dame is one of the best teams in the country. I'm not going to spend hours  on end on this forum trying to justify it every time you hit me with another question.

Wait, ND “waxed” USC?

They won by 10, trailed in the 3rd quarter and scored a special teams touchdown, lol.

You’re not even trying anymore.

In general. Any year is fair game.

You were saying ND got waxed by Ohio State in the Natty last year , that was 11 points .

I always thought Special Teams was a part of Football .

It would be hard for any reasonable person to dispute his Top 12. I agree with his assessment of Miami and Alabama. Miami, when on the top of their game, will be a handful for anyone. They just need to keep playing with a chip on their should like they were doing when they were ranked behind Notre Dame. They were fighting for their lives, and they played like it.

Love the NIT idea.

Notre Dame was never a threat in that game after the first quarter and scored a garbage time TD the same way IU did weeks earlier against ND.

Go back and watch the the 4th quarter . ND made it a 1 score game with 4 minutes to play ,and that was right after ND missed a field goal,  hardly garbage time . Look at the OSU fan's faces when ND made it a 1 score game . It was a very concerning look . IU was never within 1 score of ND in the second half .

With 4 minutes to play in the 4th

ND -27  IU - 3

ND - 23  OSU - 31

Not even close to the same Temp .

Some people want to pretend that a game isn't four quarters long. Ohio State won the first half, Notre Dame won the second half all while banged up. As I said, had Notre Dame been healthy, the outcome may have been different.

Exactly , Temp brings up a Rookie QB for Georgia in their loss . ND was without no less than 6-7 starters , heck the O-line was taped together so to speak .

Man, first ducking bowl games, citing close losses and now making injury excuses...definitely not my grandpa's Notre Dame.

(By the way, Ohio State's win probablilty in the NCG never dropped below 94% in the second half.)

"But did you see the look on the crowd's faces?!"  LOL.

This is kinda fun.

LOL , did that one on purpose to see if You're policing . Once again, you will use injuries to fit your narrative but as soon as someone does it , you cry foul . I even agreed with you on Georgia's Rookie QB , but that is one player , ND was dealing with multiple starters out. I realize your hate for ND runs deep, but good lord dude , get over it .

Not just one injury at QB...an injury at the most important position in the game.  I'll give ND credit as they did what they needed to to win the game.

Your hatred for me far exceeds my hatred fot Notre Dame.

Aren't you supposed to be hibernating until Penn plays again?

Where’s the Christmas spirit? Too much hate out there already. In the spirit of the season, I’m going to root for Michigan in their bowl game. I hope Santa Claus is still watching. @temptation, will you match me in something that would otherwise be distasteful to you? Like rooting for the Buckeyes in their playoff matchup?

I agree !!   Got a member here telling another member to leave because they differ in opinion about Professional Collegiate teams and their successes or lack of perceived success, and mad bc one is indy based and one is SB area based.

Instead of communication......it's "just leave'.    bah humbug

There was never a point in the Georgia game where you felt that the Bulldogs were Notre Dame's equal.

I agree though. This is about as intense as this forum has ever been and we are one week from Christmas. I guess football does that to a man, lol. Sad, but true.
