Why are two teams from Southern Indiana in the 3A State Finals this year?

And everyone lost their minds when Carmel went north this cycle. Of course they move to the south next year.

Football is a lot more sensible than basketball. At least in girls basketball. Last year Benton Central was in the "South". 45 miles geographically North of the 'dividing line'
