Elijah Cummings district in 2015. He was shocked by what he saw. But anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you're in a wealthy nation; you would think that you were in a Third World country. ... But today, what we're talking about is a community in which half of the people don't have jobs. We're talking about a community in which there are hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable. We’re talking about a community where kids are unable to go to schools that are decent. The Washington Examiner dug up a tweet from 2016 in which Sanders wrote: "Residents of Baltimore’s poorest boroughs have lifespans shorter than people living under dictatorship in North Korea. That is a disgrace." In February, USA Today published a list of the "25 Most Dangerous Cities in America," which was complied using data from the FBI’s 2017 Uniform Crime Report. Baltimore ranked as the third most dangerous city in terms of "murder ... non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault." Only Detroit and St. Louis ranked higher in those combined categories. Additionally, as The Daily Wire has previously noted, pest control company Orkin ranked Baltimore as the ninth "rattiest city" in the country in 2018. The city ranked number eight in 2017, number six in 2016, and number nine in 2014. Before castigating the president regarding his tweets, Sen. Sanders would do well to remember the statistics, as well as his own words from just four years ago. Maybe Baltimore ought to wake up here...... SF agrees with the first sentence.......and for the record - SF wouldn't justify racism......but what the President tweeted was not racist IMHO - it was factual. Evans asked the HUD group to move off the property. “It’s nothing personal,” Evans said from the church lobby, where he was reading the newspaper and checking in children to a vacation Bible school camp. “I didn’t know it was Secretary Carson. I just know there were a bunch of people over there that were taking over our site. And we said, 'Why are they here? They’ve not even asked for permission to be here.” Yeah, Cummings sure cares about his district.........And his district sure doesn't appear to appreciate HUD's efforts to help......
