Trojan Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 Hoping you all can help settle an argument I'm having with a coworker. At one point someone posted the all-time winning percentages by program. Does anyone have access to this info? If so, you'll settle a small squabble between a Hobart Brickie and a Chatard Trojan. Quote

Harrell's site is interesting for comparing one to one since 84, but we're looking more at a ranking of all programs, especially for all time. Quote
scarab527 Posted August 19, 2022 Posted August 19, 2022 https://highschoolfootballamerica.com/winningest-high-school-football-programs-of-all-time/ Just got this perusing through an internet search. It has wins for all teams throughout the country but if you pick through you can get Indiana. Unless I missed something it looks like Hobart is ahead in terms of all time wins, not sure about win %. Regardless, you should buy his books. If I recall from my time in Bloomington when Bloomington H.S. was consolidated (year?), it became Bloomington South while Bloomington North started at 0-0-0 -- please correct me if I'm wrong. 1 Quote

Looking through this site, I don't see any IN schools with 76% winning percentage. I'm having vague recollections of a thread from years ago, so I just checked Heritage Hills. I've got them at 76.1%, beating Chatard by one hundredth. Anyone know of any better all time winning percentages? Quote

Thanks @hhpatriot04! This is from Page 8 of the Indiana High School Football Records Book (which can be found here😞 Chatard has the advantage in all-time percentage with 537-168-1, which is .7613. Hobart is #30 with 649-323-16, which is .6650. The #1 team is Fort Wayne Snider. They are 503-143-3, which is a .7773 win percentage. Thanks and let me know if you have any follow-up questions! Bloomington High became Bloomington South in 1973. The old Bloomington University High either merged into Bloomington North but I haven't been able to find if BN claims University's athletic lineage or not. Here's an excerpt from Page 29: Thanks and any if any Bloomington folks can help clarify this, please let me know! Dan "Rudy" Engler 1 Quote

Dan "Rudy" Engler Is there an explanation why Jasper (#3) and Penn (#5) have played the same number of games (746), yet their starting seasons are 51 years apart (1907 vs. 1958)? Quote

Jasper had a team from 1907 to 1909, then dropped football. They didn’t restart until 1953 Quote

A side note, for Penn. If you only consider the years 1973-present (the Geesman/Yeoman years), the Kingsmen are 493-95-2, a winning percentage of .8379, which blows away the rest of the field. 1 Quote
