Same with Boonville, since we are just a month way now, we should be able to see who will be the leaders in the conference. Overall, it was a mixture of 7v7 and 11v11, seemed like Memorial was trying different OL/DL from what I heard. Castle’s DL was pretty quick and Patterson will definitely be a force all season long. Yep, I heard Castle looked pretty solid. McCool is likely going to be the best RB in the SIAC. BTW, I didn't take a picture last night but it appears Enlow is pretty much done. The new turf looks great. 1 Quote

It sounded like Castle will have a QB battle this offseason, so that is something to look out for. But overall, Castle, on paper at least, appears to be the SIAC preseason favorite. They just return a plethora of talent on both sides of the ball. Memorial will be also be good in my opinion, should be a little interesting on the OL/DL, but it sounded like there were a lot of interchangeable players. 4 hours ago, Titan32 said: I hear that Reitz was unable to score on the GS defense and that Klem and Campbell on the GS D line are going to be a real problem for the PAC Big Conference all season. How did the Titans look on Offense? I know they lost some studs from graduation. Quote

No big home run threat but nice looking athletes who move the chains. They will platoon at RB and roll in some defensive guys to help further into the season/tournament. Sectional 32 is going to be fun this year, I think a lot of people are anticipating an GS-Memorial first round matchup like always! It always seems like GS reloads every year especially when then they lose valuable players. Can’t wait to see how GS progresses throughout the season along with Heritage Hills. Quote

I was told that both teams "scored" a few times but that it was mostly a battle of two stout defenses. It does make sense that defense will be the strength of both teams. It also sounds like both teams are fairly junior heavy and will be even better next year. Edited July 5, 2024 by Football Fanatic Quote

Castle and North will both have solid talent but will lean heavy on the run game. I think they will struggle against good defenses. However, both have a good shot to win the sectional and maybe even regional. Advantage leans towards Castle. Quote
Football Fanatic Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 I assume there will be some scrimmages and 7on7 action these next few weeks. Interested to hear some updates. Official season less than a month away! Quote

Football Fanatic Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 The South got another big win over the North in the All Star game! The SIAC was represented by Levi Oxley (Reitz), Timmy Dixon (North), and Delshan Davis (North). I only saw parts of it but I did see Oxley had a sack. The South owns the North! 1 Quote
TigerFan20 Posted July 16, 2024 Author Posted July 16, 2024 I saw Memorial was ranked #4 in 3A for the IFD Dandy Dozen Quote

That sectional is loaded with HH and GS also being ranked. You could make an argument that they are all top 5 teams. Quote

I agree, but it’s going to be tough replacing some studs on their Offense (Believe they return 4-5 starters) and replacing one of the strongest Defensive lines in the area last year. But I’m going to be intrigued on how Reitz will progress throughout the season, lots of potential for the Panthers. Current top 4 with the way I see it: 1. Castle 2. Memorial 3. Jasper 4. Reitz Reitz and Jasper can be interchangeable, but the Wildcats do a take a slight advantage with returning starters and it’s because it’s Jasper. The season is literally just weeks away and I know for a fact my predictions will probably blow up in my face lol. The final Preseason Rankings will be interesting when they come out, I do think Castle has an argument for preseason #1, since they return around 16 starters from last season. Quote
tango Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 As to the Mighty Panthers, you have to think this needs to be the year they finally get something done in November. Sectional 24 got a little easier and the Regional will look much different without East Central. Quote
