  1. Past hour
  2. Best comment I have seen so far: He should now say "I'm and idiot, Google me." 🤣
  3. Take it with a grain of salt. Maxpreps s no better than AI. Fishers, HSE, and DC over Carroll offers very little merit. Penn has some work to do to earn their way back into the Top 10, but given the guys they return, they're in the Top 10 when it's all said and done. Maxpreps is just pretend with maybe a 70% accuracy rate.
  4. Today
  5. They won't live up to this ranking...in my opinion.
  6. No Comment 😂
  7. I don't know anything about Cascade other than what I've collected on here. I too thought it was ridiculous this happened, but it sounds like the Cascade team from last year was THE team. I think they have a good player coming back here and there, but nowhere close to the talent of the team from last year.
  8. Max Prep is on something. Franklin Central ahead of CP Penn and Merrillville?
  9. What a braindead comment. Where did this guy come from?
  10. RP will win the second weakest sectional in the state. Unfortunately for them, they don't play anyone decent after week 1 until possibly Regionals. That's a long time to stay healthy and wait for a challenge. Hope they are able to stay sharp all boring season long.
  11. A North Newton/South Newton co-op would have been the logical answer here.
  12. Uuummm uuuummmm uuuuummmmm cough uuuuuummmmmm uuuuuuummmmmmm 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  13. Stigma > gas / travel. IMO. South Newton informed their teams they are going 8 man football this year. Frontier and Benton Central have just announced looking for games for weeks 3 and 8.
  14. I can understand and agree on 8 man football. I am not an admin (nor do I ever care to be) but if I had a guess as to why the resistance to 8 man it would be two things: 1) travel, as @Muda69 points out. Honestly, that is no illegitimate concern given the price of fuel. 2) I think maybe the best word would be maybe "stigma" or maybe "lack of understanding," and not even on the part of admin themselves but also the community. There's no easy solution to be sure.
  15. A hill I would fight on - Girls Flag should have been a SPRING sport. That is all.
  16. No Doubt, it was my understanding that many times those games were done with a multi game same day events.
  17. Currently it would be insane travel times and it looks like only 6 schools are doing it: https://www.maxpreps.com/in/football/25-26/class/class-8-man/rankings/1/?statedivisionid=b1103a6e-6934-4306-ba45-4320327284d8&teamsize=8
  18. I have no issues with Co Op as an idea to get participation, but how to do it is the ultimate quagmire for me personally. I think state leaders and myself included from my personal belief, before CO OPs, schools should adopt 8 man. Not sure why INDIANA FB programs right now has some angst against it. Especially when there is a path to go from 8 to 11 when numbers improve. It's a change yes, but if the goal is to play a game of tackle football then 8 man is an OUTSTANDING choice for programs who are in this boat of this conversation . 8 man has over 1000 HS teams over 30 states. Not for Males Girls Flag is gaining momentum nation wide at HS and College levels
  19. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2026/08/06/jonathan-taylor-signs-two-year-extension-with-colts/91194455007/ A well deserved extension for the Colts best offensive player.
  20. Is flag football not being legitimized where it's 5 on 5 and I believe rosters of 10? Could even float less than this if needed. An option for low pop schools.
  21. Cascade must be living the dream right now. Win the 2025 3A title as one of the smallest schools in that class, then with reclassification you get moved to 2A as one the largest schools. Although the move may be shorted lived if they get success-factored.
  22. Also hearing Northwood has a new starting QB who is a transfer.
  23. I absolutely agree, however, does this mean the option should not exist? Also, if memory serves correct, the needle on this moved a bit from the first time this was proposed correct? I feel like 2 years ago, the spread on the vote was rather large, like double digits large, but this year wasn't the spread only 3 or 4 votes?
  24. RACK IT !!!!!
  25. Perhaps, but be interesting see what it looks like 3 years from now, vs 3 months since enacted Many reason why families choose to go places,,sure some WINNING is #1 or program culture, but that is nowhere near the sole or some could argue not even first priority, but for sure a factor for many.
