The top five were an easy choice......imo 1. Carroll - Impressive victories are adding up. Did they really drop 49 points on Dwengers defense or was I hallucinating? Good grief. 2. Dwenger - No fault in losing to the Chargers. Dwenger's standing is solid at #2. 3. Northrop - Impressive win over Homestead. The Bruins have assembled a nice collection of talent and it's showing in the win column. 4. East Noble - Nice comeback win over Dekalb. They continue to find ways to win, even if barely. 5. Homestead - Looked like the better team through one and a half quarters vs Northop. Not sure what happened after that........lost the live feed. The rest is a crapshoot at this point 6. Dekalb - Hard to ignore how good they looked last night against East Noble. 7. Eastside - Props to the small school. They just keep winning. 8. Columbia City - Nice victory over a solid Huntington North team. 9. Snider - Still looking for a quality win. They get their shot this week against Carroll. 10. Leo - Looking good so far............chance to move up this week after their showdown with East Noble. 11. Bluffton - The blowouts are adding up. 12. Adams Central - Need some high margin wins to keep this position. Some good teams right below them. 13. Huntington North - Two game skid, but both losses were to quality teams. 14. North Side - Lots of talent, but still looking for a quality win. 15. South Side - Nice looking win over Luers. Closing in Norwell and West Noble

I just woke up to use the restroom from a very nasty and hateful text from Kevin assuming I was on here under another name. There’s very few things in this world that I possess, but a massive sack is one of them. I’ve been nose to nose with Kevin over different things multiple times, we always talk and move on, but I won’t get on here under a false name and slander as a coward with a pseudonym. If you know me, you know better, you obviously do not. Historian, if you are going to make comments like stated above, do us a favor and use a name so your comments have some sort of bases and any response can be made to you, and not someone asleep and having to work in the next few hours. I will bite and respond to all the trash you both have stated. 1- who is Kevin’s nemesis? Who are you talking about hiring? Scott Moore? lol he just got a brand new turf field and building a new weight room and Fieldhouse that he designed. Get real. 2- dans going to win 6/7 games, he’s not getting fired. 3- I just went up and re-read, I’m glad to see Kevin, “a friend”, brought up my arrest, I thought it was Richard. I did in fact get arrested for breaking a no contact order with the son I raised for 12.5 years. I knew we were breaking the law staying in contact and I in fact did it anyway before he used that to get me arrested after we had a few disagreements. I’ll take those consequences on the chin in November. Im not sure if I’ll ever coach again because of that, but time will tell. Again, Kevin I appreciate you putting that on here, after assuming I was on a fake account talking hateful to you. Can’t get much lower. 4- I did step away from the program when Coach Moore resigned, I was 110% burnt out. I love Coach Moore as much as I love my own family, but he coached and I ran our program, from grades 3-12, he was ready to be done. I made sure the Johnston brothers were eligible, I financially supported kids, i ran all over to run and drop kids off and i sacrificed a lot of time raising other kids and neglected my own. I did study tables some nights until 1 in the morning, I ran our youth league, mowed the field, coached my ass off and put in more time and hours then the rest of our staff combined. Ask Moore, or anyone else affiliated with PH football, he will agree 150%. I came back after a year off and coached until week 1. We went to Linton, got our ass beat and had kids on their cell phones at halftime, kids screaming at coaches and players, absolute chaos. I resigned before I got fired. I wanted 3/4 kids kicked off the team, they continued to play and it was a blessing I stepped away, for everyone. I took 2 years off and went and helped the JH program last year before being asked to not come back because “I yelled too much”, I’ve discussed that on here previously and won’t again. 4- I like Dan, I think he’s a great man, a godly man who I would love to coach my son, 150% and if I ever have a daughter, I’d want her to marry someone like him. My ONLY problem with Dan, is he let the only legit coach he had at the JH level, get pushed out because I took too much shine away from the other coaches. How much easier was it to play the wolves this year Kevin? When Dan caught wind of that, he should have stated, “Bettis is in, or you are out.” We were running left blocking schemes, fundamentally sound and good. Yes, that’s how good I think I am. I think his best shot at making a run with this special group we have coming is to hire a legit O coordinator and he calls the defense as he did at whiteland. These teams coming should be better than the Moore teams at PH 5- Yes, the community, youth coaches and JH coaches all complain about the offense, that’s no secret. Do their opinions matter? Can they read a secondary? Do they even know how to count the men in the box? Dan should tell them all to shove it. They were used to watching us sling it around but this group can’t, yet. I got to run “my offense” last year at the junior high level because we averaged 60-70 points a game and 500-600 yards of offense. If you can’t bring that to the table, you should probably run what he says, I do agree with that. It’s what Dan knows, he has ran it at Whiteland for 20 years. Until this school can fire a way to hire football coaches, ones that can coach and are coordinator ready, not warm bodies, we are running the fly offense. I love some things about it and other things don’t make sense to me, but we only like what we know and are good at. 6- I did attempt to get hired on at Riverton under Brad to help with OL once I was told I was no longer needed at PH. Thankfully it didn’t work out because I didn’t purely out of spite and that wasn’t going to be rewarding for anyone. Brad had joked about it for years and once I committed, I was told from another RP coach, that there were a few who said “absolutely not” and Brad had loyalty with them and never returned my calls or texts for 4 months. Is what it is. Richard I think you stated above that “you don’t know who would hire Matt King and myself”. I’ll attach my LOR from the winningest and most fundamentally sound coach to ever coach in this conference below. I comment for the first time this season and get woke up to being cursed at, name called, and humiliated on this hellhole site because why? 9-8 Scottsburg over Corydon. Both teams with with a safety. Corydon Freshman kicker pings it off the upright. Tough spot for a young dude to be in, he is super talented and with time will gain some confidence and drill those.

Congrats to Coach Earl! The Indy Lutheran faithful might still be sore about that 2014 semistate game, but not too sore to wish him well as a head coach!

Over in Vermillion County word was going around before season that Billy was going to coach with the Panthers. Not sure what happened there, maybe the name thing is just a Rockville's way of doing things.

Fire Dan - fact. It’s sad because he’s a great man and doesn’t deserve it. And coaches don’t get fired, they simply aren’t retained. All you have to do is listen to the chatter. That’s what they want. They want to sling the ball and hate Dan’s offense. Even coaches on the staff say it. They just won’t say it to Dan. Hell, even your JH coaches defiantly won’t run his offense. Not my nemesis. Great guy and enjoy talking to him and learning from him. And I’ve said it to the offspring. Not news to anyone that it’s an obvious choice. Yes When your own youth coaches speak about your head coach the way in which they do, they should just quit Either buy in and be loyal or leave. I guess I'm just a Dan fan and don’t think it’s fair the way people speak about him and his teams. loyalty? Kinda like when they fired John Batty after two years and hired Coach Moore and posted “we finally hired a coach”. John was Mr Rockville and loyal coach and got his ass ran out. Last name? Only time will tell, I guess. Hell, maybe Billy will be back soon despite being arrested. He’s only been asked to leave the program two or three times. There were people walking to their cars almost a mile away. Nex It took me longer to get out of the neighborhood than it took me to drive home, and I live out by Ben Davis and Covenant Christian. I was there at 5:30 and had to park more than two blocks away. It was like old times having a big crowd for a big Catholic game.

This game was a real classic! Lots of offense and some timely defense. I need to get some rest before my noon to midnight Saturday.

You're partially correct. The Trojans kicker put one through from about 37 yards, but the Irish were offsides, a dead ball foul. From the 32 he was wide right. It was an absolute classic and the Irish had to beat some late home cooking to get the win. There were no punts in the game until 1:07 left when Cathedral punted the ball to the Trojans. With that score you would think it was a defensive battle but it was offense all the way for both teams. And both teams only turned the ball over once each. And the place was packed! There were fans standing two and three deep on the fences on both sides! I need some rest!
