  2. More funding than originally thought for the Pro-Hamas protests......And people are acting surprised about this. https://nypost.com/2024/05/05/us-news/left-leaning-outlet-mocked-for-being-surprised-on-who-is-funding-anti-israel-protests/ Anti-Israel protesters who have descended on college campuses are reportedly getting funding from several big-name Democratic donors, according to a report, that have backed President Biden’s re-election efforts. Democratic donors such as George Soros, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, David Rockefeller Jr., who sits on the board of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and Susan and Nick Pritzker, who own the Hyatt Hotel corporation, have funded pro-Palestinian efforts to protest the Israel-Hamas war, Politico reported. Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow are the main organizations behind the anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, as well as other campuses, according to the outlet. They are backed by the Tides Foundation, which receives a substantial amount of funding from Soros, as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, and distributes money to left-wing causes.
  3. Notre Dame Men’s Lacrosse begins the defense of last year’s national championship. After winning the ACC regular season and tournament titles, and finishing the regular season ranked #1, the defending champs enter the NCAA tournament as the #1 overall seed. Duke is seeded #2. The Irish have beaten Duke the last 5 times they have played.

  5. Back on page 1 @btownqbcoach1said it was Tell City this year then Clarksville next. Who knows. We will see.
  6. TC picked up Eastern Pekin for game 2 next year. Usually they are at least a 2 yr contract so probably won't be week 2.
  7. Damn. Sucks you guys don't play Valley anymore. Would like to see them.
  8. Yesterday
  9. 10k per year. If you aren't raising that you need a new AD. LOL
  10. If I might, I’d recommend heading in over to New Castle and enjoy a steak sandwich and an ice cold Coca-Cola at The Ice House before or after the game. If I’m within 20 miles of New Castle I’m hitting the Ice House.
  11. 40k exceeds most publics booster funds entire yearly budget significantly. The Meeks are generous, however, how is a company named Gibco and not in Gibson County? I suggest they relocate immediately! https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=776747077700875 chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://city-countyobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Mar25-2010-completeissue.pdf https://www.gibcomotorexpress.com/home

  13. Maybe ill call out that day then. The casino will survive. 😂
  14. Pretty sweet, huh? We love it. The Gibco Motor Express family "sold" it to the school for $40k, which the booster club is paying, so it won't cost the school a dime.. DPatrick did the wrap for free. AD said a couple of weeks ago that for just spring sports it's already saved us over $15k.
  15. Depends on who and travel time. New sectional is longer drive. I work till 5:30 so making it to knightstown probably ain't happening. Haha. I like seeing different teams and different venues.
  16. I thought this was interesting enough to share. I saw an interview with Sean DeLong where he was asked who was the most physical team the Titan's played this season within that difficult schedule. Playing both RB and WR he would have a good feel for that. He indicated (without pause and without hesitation), that the most physical team Gibson Southern played in 2023 was Mt. Carmel and he added that is wasn't even close. Keep in mind the list includes South Warren, Boyle County and Heritage Hills (sorry Vincennes LOL). I just found that interesting enough to share.
  17. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every so often... We'll cook 'em this year with the speed(hawk) option Speedhawk will return us to glory, A trip to Indy will be our story The sectional trophy in L'burg will find a home... once again this season, WE WANT DOME
  18. Could not agree more. Geographically there is NO WAY Indiana should be on Eastern Time.
  19. Coaches have to say the correct things, especially to media outlets and what-not. And honestly - it is a done deal so the correct attitude to have it "let's strap it up and get it on" But is NO ONE going to point out how laughable sectional 31 is compared to 32?? I know some sectionals will undoubtedly be tougher - but can no one in the executive room take a step back and look and go......"well lets see: Gibson, Memorial, HH, MD, SR" compared to "Owen Valley, Madison, Edinburg, Scottsburg, Corydon Central" ......"yup, looks about right to me" And don't point to geography ...OV to Madison is 2 hours and 11 minutes.....Gibson/Eville 1 hour 30 minutes Sorry to offend anyone....just no one had said it yet. And I REALLY don't care all that much....you play who is in front of you. I just don't like illogical things
  20. 'Equity' Grading Is the Latest Educational Fad Destined To Fail: https://reason.com/2024/05/03/equity-grading-is-the-latest-educational-fad-destined-to-fail/ Yet another race to the bottom approach for government education. They keep on adopting new ways to fail at actually educating children.
  21. It is dumb that Indiana is even on Eastern time, Indiana is NOT Eastern. The whole state should switch to Central time! its better for sports and watching sports anyways! Farmers and tractors have enough lights and navigational systems that they can work with less natural light for an hour or two! Its about the kids anyways.... right?
