I always thought the Mishawaka "Lady Cavemen" was kind of a weird nickname.

They sure are. Interesting that if you look at this list which contain now closed & consolidated high schools having two nicknames was much more common: http://online.fliphtml5.com/bumg/hobg/#p=1 Have a Happy Christmas.

One thing that's always perplexed me in high schools is the idea of Lady *fill in the blank*. For example, if your team mascot is Wildcats, why is the boys' basketball team the Wildcats and the girls' basketball team the Lady Wildcats? Aren't all of the students of that school Wildcats?

Ben Davis made it to the Semi-State 5 out of the last 6 years. I'll take that over regular season wins.

Plymouth, though, can still boast that they are the only high school in Indiana with 2 nicknames: the Rockies and the Pilgrims.

Interesting schedule change , John harrell has Seymour hosting bloomingtin south week 9 2022. These two haven't payed since they were both members of the s.c.c back in early 90s. Bhss also travels to nahs week 1. I'm sure hoping our starting qb and rb don't have to sit again vs Na week 1. ......... unsure the future of conference indiana but I wouldn't mind seeing bhss join the hhc. I don't think it will happen . I think bhss would join the mid state before anything else. But have heard the mid state is picky about its member schools....

There's also a chance that both will capitulate, drop 11-man football, and join in on the new 8-man program after the inaugural year.

They aren't in the MIC anymore. They were voted out. That's why everybody called the powers at be petulant children for voting the two schools out, there's no chance at a return.

Meh.... On to winter sports for the vast majority of the athletes.
