  1. Congratulations to Kyle Buresh on his appointment to the Head Coaching position at Muncie Central. I'm a big fan of Kyle and I'm excited for what he will do there. He did an absolutely wonderful job at Mississinewa over the years and I'm sure he has a plan for the Bearcats. Coach Padgett laid a great foundation for him and I have no doubt that he will continue to grow and improve that program. I would share the link but it is behind a paywall and I'm frugal. Go Bearcats!

  2. You kill me Muda....first you complain about tax dollars being used to fund sports related activities and facilities. Then you make sarcastic comments when a community finds a way to fund programs for youth without tax dollars. I don't care what side you pick, but pick one will ya?? Good grief. You have no clue how hard volunteers work because they want to give back to their communities. They fund raise significantly and we do rely on the generosity of so many people (mainly small business) to help up build and maintain programs. Not only do we fund football and cheerleading, but also help provide a place for youth lacrosse. But if you think people just hand us $$ without it being earned, well, you'd be very mistaken.

  3. I’ve talked to two different college coaches at Indiana programs who said they missed on him because he was too slow (~4.7s) to play receiver - and they just didn’t envision him in any other role. That shows me (a) a lack of imagination, and (b) an over-reliance on measurables. When you find a kid with his mix of skills combined with his motor, I think you just figure out a way to get him on the field. He bounced around a couple positions at SIU until they put 25 lbs on him and put him at ILB. Plus, Southern Indiana just doesn’t get much recruiting attention. It still surprises me that everybody missed on Mockobee. Darin Ward played at IU and begged Allen’s staff. He didn’t even get a PWO from them. I firmly believe that if Mockobee had played at one of the high profile Indy programs, he’d have had multiple offers.
