Little rainy at practice this morning at U Indy but the players from both the North Squad and the South Squad were enjoying the environment. Always a great experience for these young men and selected coaching staffs. Great presentation by the Indiana Shriners today at lunch and all the players were tuned into the message and what it means to be an IFCA Indiana All Star. Now let's do our part by supporting this cause by attending! IFCA North/South All Star Game: Friday July 11 7pm (Decatur Central HS Southwest Indy SR 67 just south of 465)

Yikes. Columbus North? DC I can see. they are going to have a D1 weapons at QB and skill positions. Maybe they're Top 5 good if they have depth.

Good grief Rodney, you're being a bit dramatic here. For the record, I think Ben Davis was the best team in the state of Indiana in 2023. I think Brownsburg and Center Grove were right there if memory serves me correctly. I've pretty much kept my opinion regarding Snider vs EC on the downlow knowing that it would hurt a lot of feelings. People were saying the same thing about New Pal back in 2015 before they found themselves on the short end of a blowout down 42-14 half way through the second quarter. Look, you can't ignore Snider outscoring Warren Central, Decatur Central, and Merrillville by a combined 103-26. They gave up two offensive touchdowns, one special teams touchdown, and two field goals in those three contests. Saying that Snider could or would have beaten East Central is far from being unrealistic. It's actually responsible. Flattered by the Notre Dame comparison though.

Not really feeling DC at #5 and CN at #8. Maybe it's just me.

I personally met him at a game in 2022 he is not bad.. The fans at Merrillville kinda gravitate toward him. It’s like he is a super hero there 😂 he never sits still he is always running from one end of stands to the other because people call and text him all the time to come over there. When I saw him the kid had 3 phones and a tablet all pulled up on different games around the state. He lives and breathes high school football. He wants to be a real coach I think. But who knows. and yeah that rivalry does nothing for either team. But I mean no one else really has an opening for week 1 around the state. We will see what happens but I think it’s still gonna be here for a while

Agreed. IHSAA screwed up splitting up 5A into two classes. Top 32 enrollment schools should have formed 6A and the bottom 32 enrollment schools should have formed 1A. A 64 team class comprised of the 32 5A schools and the top 32 enrollment schools in 4A would form a pretty darn competitive class.

Floyd Centrals goal is to be good at everything. And they are. They just aren't "great" at any one thing. When all of your sports teams are Conference and Sectional champions the kids are so spread out you never get a team that can win a State Championship. Same with performing arts. Very good. Not great.

I refuse to acknowledge the MIC as a 6 team league after adults got their feelings hurt and used the guise of racism to boot out the two schools who were dominating 80% of the sports. Every MIC title won in every sport has an asterisk next to it in Temp’s book. Now get off my lawn.
