  1. For those that don’t know of this already, Ohio State freshman and any new transfer all wear a black stripe on their helmets and can only get the stripe removed by showing out. I’m a week late to sharing this but early April is a good sign. Losing it this early means that he has quickly impressed the coaches in practices. It’s not an exact science but it’s kind of a cheat to know who is and who isn’t see early playing time. One example would be Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Julian Fleming from a few years back. Both were 5 ⭐️ WRs. Fleming was #1 in the country and JSN was #5. JSN shed his black stripe early and Fleming did not…Fleming was actually one of the last to do so and it was into late September before he finally lost it. Now a few years later JSN is likely a 1st round pick in 2023 and Fleming probably won’t even declare for the draft. idk thought it was worth sharing. Curry trending to seeing time as a freshman though

  2. A total of 27 jamborees were played on Mishawaka's field. The "jamboree era" began in 1968, took 2 years off ('83 and '84 when the cluster system schedules eliminated the jamborees) and ended after the 1996 jamboree when the IHSAA allowed a 9th regular season game to replace the jamborees. The first 6 years ('68 - '73) featured Mishawaka, Marian, Penn and St. Joe. The next 7 years ('74 - '80) included the four original schools and added Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial. These years saw near capacity crowds for the Mishawaka jamboree (around 8,500). IN 1981 and 1982, Elkhart Central dropped and Warsaw was added. When the jamborees resumed in 1985 after the end of the cluster system, the Mishawaka event had only 5 teams --- the 4 originals and Elkhart Memorial. Warsaw joined those 5 in 1986 and for the final 11 years of the "jamboree era" ('86 - '96) the event featured Mishawaka, Marian, Penn, St. Joe, Elkhart Memorial and Warsaw. Always happy to provide way more information than anyone wants or needs. 😜

  3. It’s carved into a table with a steak knife at “The Dollar” and if you refuse to meet him there, you are soft. Come on now.

  4. Honestly? I think the chance of them going 2-0 is about the same as going 1-1 or 0-2. All we really know at this point is that all three teams will be Top 6 in most polls. All bets are off. Clemson is Clemson , Ohio State is Ohio State, and Notre Dame continues to be right there on the outside looking in.

  5. 1. I’m not most Michigan fans but trust me. MSU/OSU are a much different level of hatred, especially recently. Bo probably disliked ND more so than Sparty but MSU wasn’t a threat to Michigan until the last 10-15 years. 2. I’m just busting your balls about the reversible jacket. Notre Dame football and Indiana basketball fans are the same humans. I don’t know why…but would love for you to be correct.
