6A: Carroll vs Center Grove
GOLDRUSH1985 replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I might add Penn was a good football team this year. They crushed 4A and 5A teams playing in LOS this weekend. Played Cathedral very tough. Cathedral had 3 big plays that separated the two teams. Carroll came to our house and laid the smack down . I would never bet against them. -

24-21 Carroll -
I just like it when people do what they say . If they don't do what they say, I'll call them out on it, kind of like you calling people out when their opinion doesn't match yours .

Can't find it . Hope your not referring to the victory lap post .

And I’ll say it for you again…I’D LOVE TO BE WRONG HERE AND EAT MY CROW ON SATURDAY MORNING! I want fresh blood at Lucas Oil and will be the first on here to congratulate them Friday night. Wonder how that crow is tasting. Did I miss the congratulations to Carroll last night? I Can't find it anywhere, maybe Temp is waiting for today.

Fort Wayne will always be relevant. Three teams in the Semistate and a very close Adams Central as well.

6A: Carroll vs Center Grove

Huge Congrats to FW Carroll. I knew they were special when I seen them in person. They are solid on both sides of the ball. If they can play mistake free at LOS, they have a punchers chance at beating CG. Also think Carroll is just starting to be a major player in 6A. Their facilities alone might be enough to draw in talent from surrounding districts. Build it and they will come. -
Now they need to finish it .

This final is a shocker for me . Where did Valpo come from ? They were beaten badly in week 1,6 and 7 .

Me too , I said by 10 Points

Tried telling everyone that Carrolls D is for real . -
I've been a Yappi member for a long time as well . I remember a yappi member posted a link for an article after the Elder vs Warren game . Elder coach said warren was the best high school team he had ever seen . That's pretty high praise from an Ohio coach . That probably lasted a year until he seen 04 Colerain .

Temp , lets be serious for a moment . You caps locked high school and talk about accomplishments . You freaking live on a HIGH SCHOOL message board . You constantly try to debunk someone's Stats , Opinions etc as if your opinion is the only one that matters. You'll spend as long as it takes to research , make spreadsheets(LOL) , and just about anything to prove someone's post is wrong . Once again , in your opinion . And you do rankings on here , which would take hours of time collecting data. I would not have the time do do all that , as I have a full time job and family(grandkids) . Was wondering your Accomplishments since high school .

Tempster reminds me of that little boy who has no problem dishing it , but as soon as he has to take it , he runs and cry's to mommy. He has no problem letting us know when our schools take a butt whipping because he knows he'll never get anything in return . And that's why he doesn't list his Alma Mater .

Don't know who you are referring to , but I didn't measure the final scores . I measured my eye test , Cathedral offense came out flat , the defense allowed Penn to move the ball in the first half . Could this of been caused by the 2+ hr drive ? I say it's very possible , but the Almighty Temptster says it's impossible . Carroll on the other hand was very stingy on defense , did not allow Penn to sustain any drives the entire game. The Carroll offense can score quickly ( Like Cathedral).

Here is the post Tempster , Please see the MULTIPLE INTERVIEW part . Was fortunate to play for 2 HOF coaches in Chris Geesman and Wally Yeoman . Seen multiple interviews by Legendary HOF coaches Russ Isaacs( Snider), Mark Hoffman(Valpo) and Dick Dullaghan (Ben Davis) spanning multiple decades . Every time one of these teams traveled 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to play a deep playoff game or in some cases regular season , it was almost always mentioned . If long travel times didn't mean anything , I doubt any of these coaches would mention it . I believe long travel times add an extra element for coaches to get the players ready to play .
