I got dumber by reading these. Saying a guy who has never lost more than 3 games in a season isn't a good coach because he never beat a really good program is just ignorant. The whole "never a Rochester guy" is stupid. One thing I've learned is schools will do what's best for the school corporation, so teachers/coaches need to do the same for themselves. To hold coaches to a different standard because they get a 9k stipend is ridiculous. I've only talked to Coach Shaffer once, seemed like a nice guy. I wish him the best of luck at Plymouth.

I know at least for some, the Assistant ADs are HCs. So after practice ends at 5:00, I then get to head over to supervise a soccer game. In the "off-season", I get to supervise basketball or baseball. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, but I can certainly see how some become burnout.

This. My children attend a Catholic elementary school. Between the voucher, parishioner discount, multi-kid discount and discipline scholarship (attend Mass and Volunteer), their tuition will basically be paid for. However, once they reach HS, the voucher/discounts won't come close to covering the full tuition.

I don't think a Large & Small split with a crossover game would be bad thing.

Peru was conference champs 2 years ago should they leave too? Peru also lost to Mac by 3 this year. NW was tied with Mac going into the 4th last week. 2021-2023 Mac was 2-6, 6-4, 7-4. What happens when Robinson, Sims and Tarrah graduate? Are they still as dominant? I don't know as much about Rochester, but they were 0-8 the year before Shaffer came in. I am NOT bashing on these programs. They are really good programs at the moment. However, to say they need to leave as if it's always been this way is nuts.

Yes, that's how the HCC does it. That format would certainly help prevent situations like this (if that's happened).

I don't know the Coach or really anything about Portage so I don't have an opinion on the situation. I am confused about the player playing eight quarters. Is he playing 4 quarters on varsity and 4 on JV? Is JV playing 2 games a week? I've never heard of that happening. Is he playing Freshmen and JV? From my experience, they play at the same time. One at home, the other away. I'm just simply curious.
