  1. Isn't that how we usually decide who's the better team?
  2. Haven't they been a permanent fixture in 5A/6A since the start of the SF? So why would punish St. Joseph because of the success of others?
  3. Didn't Sargins also say Cathedral would beat Castle by 50? I've seen a few of these teams play. I'm going to say Sargins is wrong. I realize Cathedral has a very special team this year and overall a heck of a program, but let's not act like they could compete with 6A, year in/ year out. How'd 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 go? Some of those playoff losses weren't close games. Cathedral has a heck of a program and most years are exactly where they belong in 5A. I also don't think we should punish some, because of success of others. As far as an individual tournament, what kind of competitive person would want that? You're too good, so go play on your own? As a public school, you finally win a state championship, would you really feel like you're the "best" team? I would love to hear the debates on here about how this public school could beat that PP school, but only if they played. Edit: To be clear I'm not trying to speak badly of Cathedral. I think they are the standard, that's why I continued to use them as my example.
  4. Someone's a little grumpy. I never said I didn't intend on playing by the rules. I was simply throwing out ideas. I don't understand why I can't buy an all day ticket in the upper deck for $20. I could leave between games just like everyone on the lower level. Since the seats on the upper deck would be sold for the day, they would not have to disinfect them between games, because nobody else would sit in those seats regardless if the all-day ticket people stay or not. Sorry if my response hurts your feelings.
  5. Agree! Sell the upper deck for all day tickets (cheaper rate), then sell the lower deck as they are now.
  6. Where are you see this at? Are they already for sell?
  7. So I've read this is few times but didn't the Eagles actually have more turnovers (or at least very close to the same)? Were the Dwenger TO's just mistakes, while the Zionsville TO's were just great plays by Dwenger? Anyways, last comment about about Dwenger, that was two games ago.
  8. I still think CG wins, but I believe that Westfield make it a closer game than most think.
  9. This is correct! I believe Zionsville was down a score, with the ball with around 5 minutes left in the 4th. Avon was the better team that night, but to say Zionsville was dismantled is just crazy.
  10. There was contact. Personally, it looks like he grabs his arm. I'm fine with someone arguing that it was hand fighting and should have been a no call, but to call it a phantom call is incorrect.
  11. 😂 I guess Zionsville got lucky they only play once!
  12. Because they would have won otherwise, right? 🤣
  13. It's fair in the fact that everyone has the same shot to host, right before the drawing. At least seeding makes a LITTLE more sense. I don't know how you plan on plan on doing that. Sargins rating? There's no question these aren't always correct. One example would be closed conferences. Surely you can't be considering wins & losses. As far replicating the same atmosphere at a neutral site, you're kidding, right? You think you're going to get the same attendance if both teams have to drive an hour and a half? I'm sure everyone of those students that would have been in the student section will be there. Is there a distance requirement or must every game be held at a neutral site? Are we going to make BD & CG travel to Arsenal Tech just so there is no "home field advantage". I'd rather have a 50/50 shot of playing at home, than never being able to play at home. Thank goodness the IHSAA agrees with me.
  14. I believe you're in the minority. There's nothing more exciting than the atmosphere of a home crowd, especially during big games. Why would you want to take that away? Because of "fairness"? Maybe we can give everyone a trophy too! As a player, coach or fan, I've never blamed a loss on being the away team. We should make EVERY playoff game at a neutral site... In the name of fairness.
  15. Westfield @ Merrillville I would give Merrillville a fighting chance, if it wasn't for the Chatard game. Therefore, Shamrocks 42 -21. Valpo @ Zionsville An impressive Valpo running game vs a Zionsville D that has looked stout vs Dwenger & Harrison. I think the Eagles squeeze out another close one. Eagles 21-17 Marion @ Hobart I'll be glad to see either one of these teams make it to L.O.S. Marion came up a game short in 2018, I think they get over the hump. Marion 28-21
  16. Maybe just give a little credit, where credit is due. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  17. Totally agree! That said, I never thought I would see school delays because it was too cold either. 🙄 It's always the O-line/D-line coaches. Lol
  18. - Homestead (10-1) at Westfield (10-1)= Westfield by 3 scores 5A- Bishop Dwenger (10-1) at Zionsville (5-5)= Zionsville by 7 3A- Concordia Lutheran (6-5) at Bishop Chatard (10-1)= Chatard by As many as they was want 2A- Bishop Luers (6-6) at Tipton (10-2)= coin flip, I guess Luers by 3
  19. Assuming this is true, this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. If the state finals are held in a giant venue like LOS, they should not be limited to the same amount of people as a whole in the wall bar. Why would it not be based off a percentage of the venue's capacity? It should be this way across the board. Not trying to make it political, I feel I'm talking about something that is football related.
  20. I couldn't get the link to work, but the Mater Dei game is on IHSAA.tv Unsure about any of the other SIAC games.
