No aneurysm here, Bob. Just the realization that eminent domain has been abused many, many times in our country's history. And any attempt by the Bears organization to get government officials to use eminent domain in order to obtain land for a structure primarily built for entertainment, is a gross abuse.
-
Or the Bears could go the upright, moral route and pay for 100% off the construction and infrastructure costs, and stop looking for a taxpayer funded handout.

Yes. Mr. Warren in his statement says this isn't about "leverage" but he's lying.

The "Gary Bears" kind of just rolls off of tongue, doesn't it?

https://mises.org/mises-wire/next-economic-downturn-will-be-here-soon-enough I hope everybody here has purchased enough gold to hold you over. Along with reserves of seeds and potable water.

A smart fan. The cost of food and drinks at NFL venues is exorbitant. And all NFL stadiums no longer accept cash, which is frankly un-American.

Told you all a year or so ago. This was coming

Not even competative: Membership in the Hoosier Heartland Conference is looking like a better move all the time........

And practically zero % of that growth is in students who can/want to participate in extracurricular athletics. Which is why FHS is a "4A" school with a small 2A/large 1A athletic talent base.

Isn't a "natty" some brand of beer? And why would Notre Dame want to win some cheap swill?
-
The Harrison/McCutcheon problem? Easy, split the two high schools into four. Now you have four schools with enrollment of approx. 900-1000 students which opens up more flexibility for closer conference affiliations with other high schools that are closer in enrollment.

Indeed he is: https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/columnists/james-briggs/2025/12/12/braun-redistricting-trump-senators/87727524007/ It must suck to be a lame-duck governor only about year into your administration. -

Redistricting is cheating. So is the two-party system. https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/readers/2025/12/10/indiana-redistricting-cheating-republican-democrat-libertarian/87582718007/?tbref=hp Mr. Rainwater is right. The two-party system is a corrupt system. -
Mitch Albom: Sherrone Moore firing surprise, but it's not a shock: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/mitch-albom/2025/12/11/sherrone-moore-firing-not-surprising-just-the-latest-ncaa-college-football/87711834007/?tbref=hp Yep, this could happen at any university.

One wonders if UM had beaten OSU a couple of weeks ago if this story would have seen the light of day................ That said, I hope it is Mr. Kelly walking thru the doors of Schembechler Hall in the near future. It would be great!

I would support this. Then the Hot Dogs can join the Hoosier Heartland where they belong.

Goodbye Sagamore Conference, you were a good one for many years.

https://www.indystar.com/story/news/local/2025/12/09/dozens-ready-to-take-us-oath-denied-final-step-to-citizenship-in-indianapolis/87688790007/?tbref=hp This is asinine, and frankly stands against most everything this country was founded upon. Why should these individuals be denied their dream of U.S. Citizenship just because of the country they were born in? Where is the objective evidence that any of these 38 individuals may be terrorists or "enemies of the USA"? "Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" -- The New Colossus, Emma Lazarus, 1883

Why the Indiana Senate will likely reject early redistricting: https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/columnists/jacob-stewart/2025/12/10/indiana-senate-reject-redistricting/87691810007/ I sure hope Mr. Stewart is right.
