  1. AKA "Postseason Championship games should only be played on artificial surfaces. No grass fields. " Just go ahead and say it.
  2. You forgot maybe the most important reason: It's makes game scheduling a lot easier for AD's.
  3. A starting point: http://sagarin.com/sports/hsfsend.htm
  4. Then those people need to wise up.
  5. That is why taking enrollment out of the equation entirely is the way to go. True promotion/relegation of programs based on their success or failure.
  6. Make sure to ask for the Grey Poupon. For you younglings out there:
  7. OSU 42, IU 14. Won't even be close.
  8. Meh, I've been a Bears fan too long to get excited about this yet. Primarily because they still have two games against the Evil Empire and the cheater Lord LaFleur. We'll see after this weekend.
  9. Possibly. Conferences are increasingly becoming outdated, and are mostly irrelevant when it comes to the state tournament.
  10. Democrats speak out: https://indianacapitalchronicle.com/2025/12/01/redistricting-shows-gop-out-of-touch-with-hoosiers/ If they have not already I urge all Hoosiers to contact their state representative and let them know of your opinion regarding this. I have.
  11. Of course Frankfort would. It may be a "4A" school by enrollment, but a "2A" school at best in regards to it's football program. I would even say possibly even 1A. How would relegation work? It could start with studying how it is currently done in soccer: https://www.si.com/soccer/what-is-relegation-in-soccer FTA: Are you not a fan of "the regular season really meaning something"? Promotion/relegation has that built in where the current IHSAA tournament structure for the most part does not . AKA, everyone deserves a trophy. We get it.
  12. "Crude" is the primary word here. A true system of promotion and relegation is the obvious answer, and it is far from crude.
  13. It does up to a point, and the GOP wants to give it even more. And as the opinion piece states, this is mostly due to influence form outside of Indiana; aka Trump. And most GOP politicians are too cowardly to tell him to go pound sand. Do you support mid-cycle congressional re-districting in this particular case, Bobref?
  14. I'm not wealthy enough to shop there anymore, so I wouldn't know.
  15. https://www.indystar.com/story/opinion/columnists/2025/12/02/indiana-redistricting-will-disenfranchise-rural-voters/87557639007/ A spot-on analysis. Do we really want Indianapolis to carry such political clout across the entire state, like Chicago does in Illinois?
  16. Knights win the 1A state title in 2026. You heard it here first.
  17. Meh. Cascade has their "once in 10-20 year team" that is common for small to mid size government schools, while Luers just reloads from the vast pool of "omg! athletes' that a population area the size of Fort Wayne provides. And that easy Monon Athletic Conference schedule does Cascade no favors. If they win today they really think about getting out of that nascent conference. They are a Hendricks county doughnut school, their enrollment and pool of athletes will only continue to grow as urban sprawl crawls westward.
  18. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/2025/11/27/fuzzy-zoeller-dead-at-74-indiana-native-two-time-major-winner/87498312007/ Truly an Indiana Icon. He will be missed.
  19. *yawn* The p/p hegemony in the lower enrollment classes is still in place. Until that changes most of the Friday and Saturday games will be boring, and not worth my time.
  20. Mr. LaFleur is an unabashed cheater, with no honor and no scruples. "Time out" my ass. The Packers, already a low organization, have sunken even lower under his "leadership", along with the people of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
  21. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/11/math-decline-ucsd/684973/ (Story is behind a paywall) Some excerpts and comments: Yep, the U.S.found in the movie Idiocracy is surely coming to pass. Thank you government education.
  22. Mr. Trump once again shows what a horrible person he is: https://reason.com/2025/11/19/a-reporters-unwelcome-questions-provoke-yet-another-trump-threat-to-yank-broadcast-licenses/
