  1. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/obituaries/robert-redford-magnetic-hollywood-icon-sundance-founder-dies-89-rcna42442 Truly an American Icon, he will be missed. Probably my favorite role of his was in the movie Sneakers.
  2. Cascade looks to be the next recipient of urban sprawl as populations migrate westwards along U.S. 40 from the likes of Plainfield and Avon.
  3. https://mises.org/mises-wire/scouring-american-middle-class Yes, the American future is grim indeed. What can be done to improve it? The continued dominance of the uni-party in U.S. politics and governance has been an abject failure. We need a strong, viable third party.
  4. South Montgomery 57, Frankfort 0 Final Jeffersonville 24, Kokomo 14 Final (Hope the Red Devils got those BPT's from Ray's) Twin Lakes 52, LCC 3 Final (Oh how the mighty have fallen) Maconaquah 62, Whitko 0 Final
  5. Indiana University 73, Indiana State University 0 (It is a Friday night football game after all)
  6. Doyel: IU vs Indiana State on same night as biggest high school game in Bloomington? Boo, Big Ten!: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2025/09/12/indiana-football-game-high-school-season-bloomington-north-south-big-ten/86115059007/ "Big Time" college football is on a collision course to financial disaster. Like Mr. Doyel has said their trajectory is not sustainable. And it's the HS programs like Bloomington North and South who suffer because of their greed.
  7. ? Are you drunk again?
  8. Donated earlier today. Can I please get rid of the annoying ads now?
  9. Yeah. Go read a book. Off the top of my head I recommend "Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game" or "Friday Night Lights: A Town, A Team, and a Dream." Both are superior to their movie versions.
  10. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2025/09/11/indiana-high-school-sports-carmel-center-grove-return-to-mic-conference-ihsaa-voted-back-in/86090949007/
  11. That you don't read. I'm a college graduate who gives back to the community. What is this now, a dick-swinging contest? As for the buyout offer, give me a price. Here you go: "Speaks what exactly? I love God, family, and my neighbors. What else do I need? I'm a college dropout who gives back to the community and could probably buy you 50 times over. Not sure what not knowing that word says about me. So enlighten us. Go ahead and copy and paste an example of "forceful manner" since you have nothing else to do. Going back to work, will check in later. "
  12. It speaks volumes that you have to search for the definition of a somewhat common word, at least common to those of who who actually read works more complex than social media or forum posts. And the word is completely justified here. Your forceful manner in this thread has been on display for everyone to see. And here is a nice rainbow and unicorns type of story for you: https://www.jconline.com/story/sports/high-school/2024/11/07/pine-village-football-descent-mike-fenters-carries-legacy/76096181007/
  13. https://apnews.com/live/utah-valley-university-charlie-kirk-shooting-updates What a tragedy. Much, much too young, regardless of his political ideology.
  14. Sorry that you only want rainbows and unicorns stories concerning Indiana High School football. And I never start a thread "looking for 10 pages." I simply find stories or opinions that may (or may not) spark discussion. Sorry that you hate that, although methinks if this tragedy had occurred in the likes of Evansville, Lafayette, or Indianapolis and not your beloved Fort Wayne you would not be as vociferous.
  15. Yeah, aren't internet message boards great? If you know all the facts surrounding this tragic event why don't spill them for us, Chief?
  16. Depends on the lawsuits and how much FWCS, and by extension the taxpayers, will have to pay out.
  17. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2025/09/09/19-hs-football-players-hospitalized-after-practice-in-extreme-heat-lawyers-say/86051935007/ Heads are going to roll. Is this the end for organized tackle football for FW Snider, and maybe the entire FWCS?
  18. Because their constant buzzing is annoying. You haven't been to a Frankfort High School game recently, have you? "Pin drop" comes to mind for the sparse crowds.
  19. Give me a 100% silent drone and maybe it would be ok. Oh, and make it invisible as well so you can't see it moving/bobbing around.
  20. That's a bit of a drive. I hope the Red Devils at least get treated to some pretty good BPT's from Ray's Drive-In in Kokomo.
  21. Indiana University ranked as U.S.'s worst public college for free speech https://www.indystar.com/story/news/education/2025/09/09/indiana-university-ranked-us-worst-public-college-free-speech/85991079007/
  22. Thanks. If such an event happened here in Indiana do you think an IHSAA guy in the white hat would be justified with declaring the game over? What would you have done if such a situation occurred during a game you were officiating?
  23. https://unherd.com/newsroom/why-is-the-media-silent-about-iryna-zarutskas-murder/ I can't even find this story on the AP news website, which I thought may still be the last bastion of objective news reports. It's pretty much true there are no objective, 100% fact-based, major news outlets any more. They have all co-opted by some kind of political idealogy. A sad time for America.
  24. https://www.reviewjournal.com/nevada-preps/bishop-gorman-wins-on-forfeit-over-lone-peak-after-altercation-photos-3438488/ Interesting. Does the IHSAA have a similar rule? If not then should they?
  25. Oh, I have respect for them, and the coaching staff. It has to be tough. But it is pretty clear the majority of the OMG! Athletes at FHS are no longer interested in tackle football. They are either playing soccer or working after-school jobs to help provide for themselves and their families during these tough economic times.
