So what would you tell the parent of a potential athlete whose is on the fence about letting their child participate in tackle football? That they just need to "understand the inherent value"?

Agree. But if a high school football program has multiple head coaches over multiple years and still the aggregate W-L percentage is very, very low, what does that tell you? Yet another dodge.

And I have never said otherwise on this forum. I keep hearing this mantra on the GID of "wins and losses doesn't equal success when it comes to high football programs". Please, elaborate on the objective specifics of these other criteria of high school football success. And then find me an Indiana high school football head coach that is still coaching at the same school after say, 4-5 seasons with an aggregate W-L record less than 33%. I would suspect there are very few, if any, of these.

Bad nomenclature by the NFL since the word "virtual" typically means "not real". They should call it a camera based measurement system. Nobody from southern Indiana wants to take a good chunk of the weekend to drive to Clinton county and play a game against Frankfort or Clinton Central. Believe me. The historic allure of the Reitz Bowl and the recent resurgence of the Gibson Southern program is why this event is happening.
