  1. I remember my college days, driving to/from Terre Haute on the weekends, when I would pass little 'ole Westfield High school on US. 31, with the "Worlds Largest Dairy Queen" caddy cornered from the football field at the intersection of US 31 and SR32: https://vintageaerial.com/photos/indiana/hamilton/1971/MHA/66/26#:~:text=Comments&text=--This Dairy Queen in,room for the parking lot.
  2. So you are in the logistics industry now?
  3. When a quarter of the class identifies as trans https://pitt.substack.com/p/headline-when-a-quarter-of-the-class?r=7bjvz&s=r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web Yep, it is the progressive liberals that appear to have taken over a majority of the administration and teaching positions at government and private schools that is driving this trans madness. BTW, I recently watched the excellent documentary "What is a Woman?" by Matt Walsh. I suggest everybody else watch it as well.
  4. FDA Finally Admits It Caused the Baby Formula Shortage https://reason.com/2022/07/07/fda-finally-admits-it-caused-the-baby-formula-shortage/
  5. Hmm. I used to work at facility designated as a free/foreign trade zone, and never had a federal background check. Must be a different level of security. As if forced government compliance will work, especially where labor unions are concerned.
  6. So we need government regulation, aka legalized force, to compel free enterprise to do something. Got it. How about a terminal companies doing a better job than their competitors, causing those competitors to lose business, which in turn will compel them to either upgrade of go out of business altogether. aka the market working as it should, without government interference. ? Please explain.
  7. Big deal, you supposedly visited one port. Did the port security chase you away after they found you supposedly filming this? And I still stand by this original statement: It is government control that suppresses innovation and technology in the marketplace. I currently work in an industry where billions are wasted every year due to government "oversight".
  8. The danger of license plate readers in post-Roe America https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2022/07/the-danger-of-license-plate-readers-in-post-roe-america/ So will the Indiana State Police and other Indiana law enforcement agencies be watching the Indiana/Illinois border closely?
  9. Frankfort already plays 2-3 of the HHC schools every year in the big-three boys sports; Football, Basketball, Baseball and also in the big-three girls sports; Volleyball, Basketball, & Softball. And they are in no way dominant. I say before considering contraction just go all in and attempt to join the conference. It would greatly reduce travel times and reinforce the existing county rivalries. A win-win.
  10. Because the size of the school is not always indicative of the "power" of it's athletic programs. This is the preconceived notion that the IHSAA's primarily enrollment based classification system has caused.
  11. Unfortunately Frankfort is a "4A" school with a large 2A - small 3A athletic talent base. It would fit we ll in the Hoosier, And isn't Western a 4A school that is also currently a member of the Hoosier conference?
  12. Frankfort was a charter member of the NCC, and left when it's enrollment growth could no longer keep pace with it's larger NCC brethren. Don't think they would have any interest in returning. The Hoosier Conference is the best fit for the Hot Dogs should the Sagamore Conference fall apart. That or the Hoosier Heartland Conference.
  13. McCutcheon and Harrison need to merge into one mega-school, call it Tippecanoe County high school or something.
  14. Can Boilermaker Alliance, John Purdue Club co-exist in same financial space? https://www.jconline.com/story/sports/college/purdue/2022/07/07/purdue-athletics-name-image-likeness-boilermaker-alliance-john-purdue-club/7827856001/ So the "deep pockets" among Purdue alumni and fans will be asked to dig even deeper into those pockets. There has to be a breaking point, right?
  15. NIL has forever changed the game. 'The NCAA created this monster themselves.' https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/2022/07/06/year-into-nil-ncaa-struggles-keep-up-college-sports-shakeup-name-image-likeness-future-explained/7766493001/ (Note: Story is behind a paywall) The opening of Pandora's Box is rarely pretty.
  16. Donation had been made. Thanks to all that the GID staff do.
  17. Look for the Kokomo Wildkats to make some noise in 4A. The north side of the 4A tournament bracket should be theirs for the taking.
  18. Which is probably where the majority of Indiana women who want an abortion will travel to for the procedure, once the Indiana Legislature passes legislation during it's July 6th special session to at least severely restrict the practice. I know of at least one liberal progressive acquaintance of mine who has offered transportation to/from Illinois for women when such a law is passed in Indiana.
  19. Yep, funny that Mr. Holcomb called that special session not to address abortion, but to get the legislature to issue a tax refund of $250 per taxpayer back to Hoosiers. Who know if that legislation will actually pass now with everybody focused on this, as you say, "sh*tshow to end all sh*tshows."
  20. Here Is a State-by-State Rundown of What Will Happen Now That SCOTUS Has Freed Lawmakers To Restrict Abortion https://reason.com/2022/06/24/here-is-a-state-by-state-rundown-of-what-will-happen-now-that-scotus-has-freed-lawmakers-to-restrict-abortion/ Considering our neighbor to the West, Illinois, looks likely to keep abortion legal, look for those Hoosier women seeking such a procedure to head there.
  21. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, eliminating constitutional right to abortion https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/06/24/supreme-court-abortion-mississippi-roe-wade-decision/9357361002/ Mr. Alito is correct. This should have always been a decision for the states to decide, not Washington D.C.
  22. Federal COVID Aid to States and Localities Cost $855,000 Per Job Saved https://reason.com/2022/06/21/federal-covid-aid-to-states-and-localities-cost-855000-per-job-saved/ Yep, just more and more moronic government waste.
  23. Interesting. That could be a really good photoshop job, but I hope it isn't. His handlers at the DNC are running the Oval Office, not Mr. Biden.
