  1. DT’s life accomplishments consist of mustering up a thread that has more than 3 pages. I honestly think he defines personal success by topic views. The Castro socialism (Muda) paired with the Che Guevara (DT) incite and provoke act is a tired retread for the old dogs on the GID. Viva La P/P Revolucion Cuba style. Seriously though, we have been listening to Muda’s gloom and doom of the hegemony and imperialism of the P/Ps for about 10 years now. DT is just newer to the game.
  2. I don’t know much about Whiteland, but they sure look one-dimensional. I know the score was lopsided last Friday, but only 2 pass completions on the night?? If they call a similar game this weekend, I can’t see our front 7 not being able to stop the run. Senior captains on D-line (Guhl, Scruggs) and one of the best emerging linebacking crew of juniors in the state (Miller, Goheen, Utzinger). And, we’ll definitely score points. Whiteland best not get behind early.
  3. Excited to see the last of the Tracy boys play tomorrow. Certainly one of the most prolific Indiana high school football families of the last decade. Still have bad dreams when all 3 were on the field against the Irish two years ago in a stinging early tourney exit. War Irish. Stay focused.
  4. Tells you everything you need to know about E-learning and the inner city. This lockdown nonsense is devastating inner city teenagers. The word from the teachers is over 30% have never logged in to a single class. Obviously extracurriculars are the acid test for institutional health. The Shamdemic causes way more residual harm than the virus itself. Glad the election is in 48 hours. And, congrats to the Falcons. #powderblue
  5. Terre Haute South’s QB was awesome last night. Never panicked. Hung in the pocket. Picked apart a stout Irish secondary. They had zero run game or defense, but the Q kept them in this one, especially in the first half.
  6. First and foremost, thought you weren’t commenting for the rest of the season. Shallow promise as usual, DT. Peebles didn’t panic. That was his go-to all season in a crunch and at the goal line. With the way Langdon was breaking tackles, it was a bit cavalier to run a jet sweep. Peebles suspended Cam for Q1, so they both were probably hugging out a big play to seal the game. But, Cam was never in this one. Did he have more than one reception? Big void for this big game. I vehemently disagreed with the @Indystar about special teams, but punting destroyed the Irish tonight. We still had the better kicker, and, evidently, long snapper. But field position and our scare factor About our kicking inefficiency in the 4th with 1:13 proved to be too much. Great game. Heartbreaker for CHS faithful. Dammit
  7. The one I didn’t mention is Lane Fowler, the center. He’s a little small for D1 most likely, but also duals as the Irish Heavyweight on the State Champ team. Last year, he had to wrestle behind 2019 Irish State Champ Holden Parsons, but should be starting Heavy this season. He is also class of 2022. I could see him playing football at Depauw or Wabash or similar. Starting DT and senior captain David Guhl will be a serious contender for the 220lb wrestling title this season. He’s getting some football offers as well.
  8. Cathedral will have at least 4 D1 Offensive Linemen (Woods, Farah, Sizemore, and Koers) in the class of 2022. Woods and Koers will be to a Power 5 conference. Wouldn’t shock me if all 4 went to the Power 5.
  9. I think these fellas will have something to say about the rushing yards. I hope Cathedral goes 2-TE all night.
  10. I’ll agree with you here with one caveat. These two junior classes from Cathedral and Center Grove have a history. When these junior classes were freshmen, they were both touted as one of the best ever for both schools. CG ripped through the MIC undefeated and CHS ripped through the tri-state P/P undefeated in 2018. They faced each other in a very contentious battle both with Cathedral winning 14-7 at the CG middle school field. Point being, they have angry history. As for state titles is all that matters, I’ll be immodest and absolutely agree at Cathedral. With the abundance of state title caliber programs, any accomplishments short of an IHSAA title don’t get any love on campus. Sectional, Regional, or Semi-state titles are rarely mentioned.
  11. Anyone want to talk match-ups? In my mind, I couldn’t be more excited to see Caden Curry and the CG front 7 against Owen Wood and the Irish O-Line. CHS’s offensive line averages 6’5, 273lbs. Watching some Center Grove film, I have yet to see an O-Line that comes very close. If Jake Langdon, Seth Mencer, and McCahill can establish the run game, it will be very hard for the Trojans to pull this one out. The other huge match-up is Carson Steele vs. the Cathedral emerging backers (Huddy Miller, Jack Goheen, and Ferrell Henderson). I love our the Cathedral OLBs, so I am thinking Steele will have to run meat-and-potatoes most of the night. Can our gnarly senior captains (Guhl, Scruggs) on the DLine take the double teams? I think so. Would not break my heart to have 70 run attempts combined. I’ll put my money on the jock from St. Roch, Nathan McCahill, to lead the way. He’s a gamer. Mr. Football is at stake in this one too in my opinion. Steele vs. McCahill. What a game!
  12. Hang in there and get some help if you need it.
  13. Man, who would do this? Not a Cathedral thing. If we cared about injury or resting kids, we’d never schedule any of these teams. We want the best. Always. Look at our wrestling or girl’s volleyball schedules if you beed clarity.
  14. *Jaron Tibbs - You’ll know his name soon enough. The only reason he won’t be a major D1 football WR is because he’ll have many, many D1 offers for basketball.
  15. Was also super impressed with Brebeuf QB Drake Hagerman. He came out scorching hot out of the gates. Must have been 7 for 7 with an impressive first drive and TD to start the game. I believe that was the only 2nd game we trailed in at 7-3. Cam Jordan’s absence was absorbed by a great game from David Perry and Michael Page. And up-and-coming sophomore Jaron Riggs is emerging with a nice TD last night. PS. Cam Jordan has “Pro-Day” for the MLB Draft early Sat. Not exactly baseball “camp”. 😉
  16. Yawn. DT is definitely a middle child. How much antagonism do you need for your mental health, bro? Two trap games tonight w a talented LN offense and a Catholic rival in Brebeuf. Both games should be running clocks, but either could sneak up. Both programs are going guns blazing next week for Indiana royalty. Should be another ESPN Game of the Week between two Top 30 National Programs. I can only speak for Cathedral, but we are searching for a VERY elusive undefeated season with our scheduling.
  17. Couple intriguing match-ups: Brebeuf WR Pettrie with quick good hands, not afraid of the middle of the field vs Zane Hill and Kolceski/Bronner of the Irish. And the big one: highly touted Brebeuf D1 DE Strickland with great lower body and feet vs. future D1 OTs Owen Wood and Cooper Koers. I’d say spread is -35.5 with lots of playing time for everyone. Go Irish. Stay healthy.
  18. 100%. Wish we could have a MILF-off! Either next week for Brebeuf-CHS or in two weeks for CG-CHS. Definitely take the over. #hotmomsmatter
  19. Wow. What a start. Brebeuf Jesuit next week. Onward. Center Grove looms. And, their mom is ugly.
  20. I stand corrected. St. X did not win the state. I was misinformed. Elder lost to Pickering Central 21-14 in the large class final.
  21. This is the biggest game of the season for the young Irish. Can they successfully run the gauntlet of 4 2019 State Champs and 1 Runner-up (Carmel, Chatard, St.X, Lasalle, and now Elder) to have a shot at Center Grove for rare Indiana Top25 National Showcase? Or will the schedule catch up with us and/or another sloppy week of penalties/turnovers end the streak? An enormous trap game w Brebeuf looms next Friday, but a rarified Cathedral legacy team is at stake this weekend with Elder. We better be ready. They are playing for the pride of Cincy and the GCL. Let’s go, lads!
  22. Cathedral fans need to simmer the eff down. Elder is about to beat our asses. Two games to go for both programs. Elder has had 5 games to mature and barely lost to a ridiculously talented LaSalle team that we barely beat with their stud RB out of commission. If we can get through Friday, we can start talking about CGvCHS. Two Top25 Indiana teams playing in the finale would be special af.
  23. Is DT the antifa of the GID?? 4 years of dominance for NewPal and massive graduation and they are dead in the water? Feeling like DT is at the front of the protests with an umbrella and a bag full of molotov cocktails. If inciting proud and hardworking programs is your thing, maybe you join the real movement and use your pen for a non-football cause. Maybe you and Muda can run off together. The socialist and the agitator. Could be the Castro and Che Guevara all over again!
  24. I think Elder is as dangerous as either of the previous GCL teams. They took a full-strength LaSalle team to OT and had St. X on the ropes until late. This is an extremely dangerous game. I would expect nothing less than a 3 or 7 point game like X/LaSalle. I’ll cautiously make the Vegas line of Cathedral -3.5 due to home field. Cathedral is 1-5 against Cincy Elder with our last win coming in 1930. GCL Pre-season Scouting Report: Elder Coach Doug Ramsey's Panthers took some major hits on the roster due to graduation with the GCL-South's top rusher and No. 2 passer Matthew Luebbe gone as well as tight end Joe Royer and offensive lineman Jakob James to Ohio State and lineman Luke Kandra to Louisville. Top tackler Colton Sandhas is also gone. But, they tend to replenish in Price Hill with many of the youngsters growing up dreaming of playing in The Pit. Many in last year's shadows will now have the opportunity to shine, including junior Drew Ramsey who followed Elder's recent tradition of being in the offense as a receiver/back while waiting for his turn at quarterback. The Panthers remaining have much to prove after falling short in the DI finallast December after entering the fourth quarter with a 14-7 lead on Pickerington Central. "People are going to doubt you now because you think about the guys we lost," Ramsey said. "Two guys going to Ohio State, a guy going to Louisville, a quarterback that threw for 4,000, rushed for 2,000. We lost a lot of talent. That's what happens in sports. Some of these guys have to assume those roles and play at a high level." Players to watch: Drew Ramsey was 3-for-5 passing last season, but two of those went for touchdowns. Back at his natural position, those numbers should improve. As a utility back as a sophomore, Ramsey ran for 319 yards and four touchdowns and caught 61 passes for 633 yards and five scores. One of his targets could be tight end David Larkins, who backed up Joe Royer last season. Larkins has committed to play at Appalachian State. "Why not us?" Larkins said. "Just because we lost so many people, so many high-rated guys, why can't we make a run for state again?" On the line, Drew Beckenhaupt will lead the way. The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder has committed to the Toledo Rockets.
  25. Fantastic game. These GCL teams never fade. On a field littered with D1 talent and offers. #7 Jaylen Johnson from La Salle was a man among boys. He singlehandedly kept LaSalle in this one on defense. He’ll be in the league soon.
